A self-erecting packing case formed from a single board blank, the packing case comprising: first and second side walls and first and second end walls integrally connected together along respective parallel fold lines; a first-type base panel integrally connected to a bottom end of each of the first and second side walls along a respective fold line; and, a second-type base panel integrally connected to a bottom end of each of the first and second end walls along a respective fold line; wherein each first-type base panel is glued to an adjacent second-type base panel and comprises a fold line along an edge of where the first-type base panel is glued to the adjacent second-type base panel; and wherein each first-type base panel further comprises a lobed section integrally connected along a fold line, wherein the lobed sections of each first-type base panel are arranged to deflect and then interlock with each other when the packing case is erected from a collapsed condition, thereby to form the base of the packing case.

Flexible packaging structure with built-in tamper-evidence features and method for making same

A flexible packaging laminate has built-in opening/reclose and tamper-evidence features by forming the laminate from an outer structure joined in face-to-face relation to an inner structure. Score lines are formed in both structures to enable an opening to be formed through the laminate by lifting a flap or the like out of the plane of the laminate. The score line through the outer structure defines a larger opening than the score line through the inner structure, such that a marginal region of the outer structure extends beyond the edge of the opening portion of the inner structure. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is used to re-adhere the marginal region to an underlying surface of the inner structure adjacent the opening through the laminate. The outer score line includes at least one tab positioned within a heat seal region of the laminate.

CORRUGATED CARDBOARD PACKAGE ADAPTED TO DETECT BREAKS MADE TO ITS DETRIMENT
20190352066 · 2019-11-21 ·

Disclosed is a package obtained by folding a sheet of conveniently cut and creased corrugated cardboard onto itself. The package includes multiple walls and wall linings which are at least partially opposed to one another. Certain wall linings are glued to the walls against which they are opposed in order to prevent the package from opening due to the cardboard sheet with which it is made being unfolded. An electrically conductive track is printed on the cardboard sheet at the inner face of the latter so that an opening of the package causes damage to the track. The package further includes an electronic device coupled to the conductive track and adapted to detect damage thereto, i.e. an alteration of one or more electric features of the track. Each of the wall linings glued to one or more walls of the package includes an easy tear-off-line intersecting the conductive track.

Packing

Packing includes a body section, a cover section, and a label. The body section has a first opening. The cover section closes the first opening. The label is adhered so as to span across the cover section and the body section. At least one of the body section and the cover section has a cut section. The cut section is located at a position where the label is adhered. The cut section of the packing is damaged when the label is removed. As a result, the label has a roughened surface in a situation in which the label is re-adhered. The roughened surface allows visual confirmation of an evidence of tampering with the packing. Thus, the packing is difficult to reseal, restricting tampering with the packing.

The outer score line includes at least one tear portion that is torn through upon initial opening, thus indicating the package has been at least partially opened.

Dispensing Containers

A seal that forms part of a container for storing and dispensing consumer products is provided. The container can be used for the packaging of pills, tablets or capsules, or as a multi-cavity container for organizing and storing mixed medication for subsequent dispensation according to a predefined dosage regimen. The seal includes a cover film and a barrier film. The cover film has pre-formed lines of separation defining a removable portion per cavity. The barrier film is secured to the cover film by a layer of peelable adhesive and has pre-formed lines of separation defining the periphery of a barrier patch per removable portion. The cover film includes a tamper-indicating line of separation close to an edge of the cover film that is designed to tear if an attempt is made to peel the cover film away from the tray to expose one or more of the cavities.

Tamper evident plastic food container

A tamper evident container comprises a lid and a base. The lid includes a lid rim having a lid rim flange. The base includes a base rim having a base rim flange. A frangible hinge is formed between a top pinch segment peripherally projecting from the lid rim flange and a bottom pinch segment peripherally projecting from the base rim flange. The frangible hinge is configured to rupture when the container is in the initially sealed arrangement by the application of a pinching force to the top pinch segment and bottom pinch segment that results in the relative vertical movement of the segments toward each other. As compared to the prior art, the container hinges about a frangible vertex instead of hinging about a square-shaped structure.

Or relating to closures

A closure (910) comprising a base (912) and a lid (914), the base and lid being joined by a hinge arrangement (932) so that the lid is movable between a closed position and an open position, the hinge arrangement comprising a main hinge (981) and a separate auxiliary hinge (995), in which the lateral extent of the main hinge is greater than the lateral extent of the auxiliary hinge.

Three door lid and container utilizing the same

Container having a container body comprising a bottom, a rim and a lid securing portion located adjacent the rim. A lid includes a lid base sized and configured to secure the lid to the lid securing portion of the container body and a lid door assembly movably mounted to the lid base. The lid door assembly includes a main door that can assume at least a closed position with respect to the lid base and an open position with respect to the lid base, a first side door that can assume at least a closed position with respect to the main door and an open position with respect to the main door, and a second side door that can assume at least a closed position with respect to the main door and an open position with respect to the main door.
