System and Methods for Continuous Production of Proteinaceous Patties Dressed With Food Grade Particulate
Provided herein is a continuous production line for a dressed proteinaceous patties with a solid food grade particulate using a coordinated volumetric toothed dispensing cylinder and variable speed conveyor for precisely controlled introduction of the particulate to a stream of proteinaceous material which is then formed into a patty.
COOKING STAND FOR SKEWERED FOOD ITEMS
A cooking stand is provided. The cooking stand includes a frame with a plurality of frame members. Each of the frame members includes an elongated support disposed horizontally. A first upright extends vertically from a first end of the elongated support and a second upright extends vertically from a second end of the elongated support. A first notch is formed on an upper edge of the first upright and a second notch is formed on an upper edge of the second upright. The first notch and the second notch align with one another and are disposed directly above the elongated support.
Brassica plants resistant to clubroot
The present invention relates to Brassica oleracea plants resistant to clubroot. The invention further relates to parts of these plants, to seeds and to other propagation material, and to the progeny of these plants.
Pressurized steam pitting apparatus and process
In accordance with the teachings of the disclosure, a process is disclosed for pitting drupes. In some embodiments of a pitting process, the pitting machine uses a pitting knife that has a longitudinal passageway that extends axially through the pitting knife. The pitting machine has a steam source that provides pressurized steam to the passageway of the pitting knife. Prior to pitting the drupe, the pressurized steam flows through the passageway and onto a portion of a drupe positioned within a carrier in the pitting machine. The heat and pressure of the steam between the drupe and the cutting end of the cutting knife can soften a localized portion of the drupe so that the cutting knife can cut through the flesh of the drupe and eject the pit out of the opposite side of the drupe.
Food/drink containing sucrose-containing plants
A powdery food containing a sucrose-containing plant with a sucrose content of 2.5 mass % or more in terms of dry mass, a dietary fiber content of 1 mass % or more in terms of dry mass, has a particle sizes d50 after ultrasonication of 1,000 m or less and has an acetoin content of 1 ppb or more and 40,000 ppb or less, is provided. The powdery food easily controls the burnt odor derived from sucrose and extract the sweet flavor peculiar to sucrose in a food and drink containing a powder derived from a sucrose-containing plant.

Electric corn creamer and food grater
A novel Electric Corn Creamer and Food Grater (the Machine) designed to process tender ears of corn to obtain a corn paste in a single step by grating the kernels directly over the cob. The Machine may also be used to grate various types of products. In preferred embodiments, the Machine may be sized to be used as a small kitchen appliance, but alternative embodiments may be better suited for industrial applications. In some embodiments, the Machine may comprise various modules that can be easily attached and detached to facilitate cleaning and storage after each use.
Modulating disease through genetic engineering of plants
In certain embodiments transgenic plants (e.g., transgenic tomatoes) are provided that comprise cells that express a peptide one or more domains of which comprise the amino acid sequence of an apolipoprotein or apolipoprotein mimetic peptide where the peptide has biological activity (e.g., lowers SAA, and/or increases paroxonase activity, and/or improves HDL inflammatory index, etc.) when the plant and/or the peptide is fed to a mammal.
METHOD OF PRODUCING LEAFY BIOMASS
A method for producing leafy biomass from undifferentiated plant cells, the method comprising providing undifferentiated plant cells, contacting them with an agent that promotes differentiation of the cells into leafy tissue and growing the cells in a temporary liquid immersion culture system. This method of the invention may be used to produce polypeptides, and natural medicinal products, and can be used to capture carbon dioxide.
A method of producing a polypeptide in plant cells in vitro comprising:
providing undifferentiated plant cells containing chloroplasts that carry a transgenic nucleic acid molecule encoding the polypeptide, wherein the plant cells display homoplastomy; and propagating the cells according to the above method to produce leafy biomass containing the polypeptide.
