METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR CONSTRUCTING GLASS FURNACE REFRACTORY STRUCTURES
Methods and apparatus for constructing or reconstructing refractory structures, e.g., glass furnace regenerator structures and/or glass furnace structures having walls formed of refractory block and buck stays externally supporting the walls are provided. A header support beam assembly is provided so as to extend at an angle between respective pairs of side wall buckstays. A moveable hoist moveable hoist supporting assembly supported by the header support beam assembly and moveable between the opposed pairs of side and end walls. In such a manner, refractory components, e.g., refractory wall blocks and/or checker bricks, may be hoisted into position when constructing or reconstructing the refractory structure.
Support of segmented structural design
A structural support that can be used as a truss girder bridge crane, or the like. The support includes one or more rows 13 of segments 15, that are arranged in side by side relation along the length of the support. Each row 13 has extending there through at least one tensioning element 14 which is anchored at opposite ends of the row and is pretensioned with respect to the row in order to hold the segments of the row together. A support preferably includes one row 13 of segments 15 in a lower chord 11 of the support and another row 13 of segments in an upper chord of the support. Vertical framework is mounted between the chords with ends secured adjacent the segments 15 by the tensioning element. The individual segments and the tensioning elements may be directed to a construction site at the location of use and assembled into rows and the appropriate structural construction.
Support of segmented structural design
A structural support that can be used as a truss girder bridge crane, or the like. The support includes one or more rows 13 of segments 15, that are arranged in side by side relation along the length of the support. Each row 13 has extending there through at least one tensioning element 14 which is anchored at opposite ends of the row and is pretensioned with respect to the row in order to hold the segments of the row together. A support preferably includes one row 13 of segments 15 in a lower chord 11 of the support and another row 13 of segments in an upper chord of the support. Vertical framework is mounted between the chords with ends secured adjacent the segments 15 by the tensioning element. The individual segments and the tensioning elements may be directed to a construction site at the location of use and assembled into rows and the appropriate structural construction.
FOUR-DIMENSIONAL CRANE RAIL MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS
A method and system for conducting a non-contact survey of an overhead crane runway system using a survey apparatus that is alternately located in the crane bay or on a crane bridge girder. Disclosed more particularly are a method and system for testing an overhead crane runway beam 3D alignment or an overhead crane runway rail 3D alignment using a 3D laser scanner.
FOUR-DIMENSIONAL CRANE RAIL MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS
A method and system for conducting a non-contact survey of an overhead crane runway system using a survey apparatus that is alternately located in the crane bay or on a crane bridge girder. Disclosed more particularly are a method and system for testing an overhead crane runway beam 3D alignment or an overhead crane runway rail 3D alignment using a 3D laser scanner.
SPLICE JOINT OF CRANE MAIN GIRDER
A splice joint of a main girder of a crane, the main girder including at least two longitudinal main girder parts to be connected to each other by their ends and each having a central web which includes at least one web plate, longitudinal upper and lower flanges, the lower flange protruding from the central web to both sides thereof. The splice joint includes a plate-like tongue-and-groove joint, the tongue-and-groove joint including a tongue fixed to the central web of a main girder part, and a groove fixed to the central web of a second main girder part; and a lower flange joint receiving the bending forces of the splice joint. The tongue-and-groove joints are arranged reversed in relation to each other, and the location of the tongues and grooves on opposite sides of the web is reverse in relation to each other.
SPLICE JOINT OF CRANE MAIN GIRDER
A splice joint of a main girder of a crane, the main girder including at least two longitudinal main girder parts to be connected to each other by their ends and each having a central web which includes at least one web plate, longitudinal upper and lower flanges, the lower flange protruding from the central web to both sides thereof. The splice joint includes a plate-like tongue-and-groove joint, the tongue-and-groove joint including a tongue fixed to the central web of a main girder part, and a groove fixed to the central web of a second main girder part; and a lower flange joint receiving the bending forces of the splice joint. The tongue-and-groove joints are arranged reversed in relation to each other, and the location of the tongues and grooves on opposite sides of the web is reverse in relation to each other.
LIFTING MECHANISM FOR OVERHEAD MONORAIL AND OVERHEAD MONORAIL
A lifting mechanism includes a lifting beam, a hanging portion suspended below the lifting beam and including a hanging base, a hanging chain, a movable sprocket disposed on the hanging base, a distance adjusting sprocket, and a power mechanism. The distance adjusting sprocket and the power mechanism are arranged side by side and separately on the lifting beam. The power mechanism includes a fixed sprocket and a driving portion. The fixed sprocket is driven by the driving portion to drive the hanging chain to move, so as to lift or lower the hanging portion. An end of the hanging chain is fixed to the lifting beam, and the other end of the hanging chain engages the movable sprocket, the fixed sprocket, and the distance adjusting sprocket, or the other end of the hanging chain engages the movable sprocket, the distance adjusting sprocket, and the fixed sprocket.
LIFTING MECHANISM FOR OVERHEAD MONORAIL AND OVERHEAD MONORAIL
A lifting mechanism includes a lifting beam, a hanging portion suspended below the lifting beam and including a hanging base, a hanging chain, a movable sprocket disposed on the hanging base, a distance adjusting sprocket, and a power mechanism. The distance adjusting sprocket and the power mechanism are arranged side by side and separately on the lifting beam. The power mechanism includes a fixed sprocket and a driving portion. The fixed sprocket is driven by the driving portion to drive the hanging chain to move, so as to lift or lower the hanging portion. An end of the hanging chain is fixed to the lifting beam, and the other end of the hanging chain engages the movable sprocket, the fixed sprocket, and the distance adjusting sprocket, or the other end of the hanging chain engages the movable sprocket, the distance adjusting sprocket, and the fixed sprocket.
Spreader for lifting intermodal container
A spreader (10) for lifting an intermodal transport container (22) comprises a main beam (24) extending in a longitudinal direction (L), the main beam formed of a first, upper C-beam of a relatively thicker material thickness and a second, lower C-beam of a relatively thinner material thickness; and an indicator configured to provide an indication if a distance in a transversal direction (T) between a pair of twist-locks (18) is set in a wide-body position when lowered onto respective lifting castings (20) provided with top openings (50) separated by a transversal distance corresponding to a standard position.
