Control of adhesive domains
A method of inverting the phase arrangement of the silicone phase and the acrylic phase in a silicone acrylic hybrid composition, the silicone acrylic hybrid composition comprising: a) a silicone acrylic hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive, and b) a solvent, wherein the phase arrangement of the silicone phase and the acrylic phase in the initial silicone acrylic hybrid composition forming a continuous external phase and a discontinuous internal phase is determined by the solvent, comprising the step of adding an activator to the silicone acrylic hybrid composition, wherein the activator a) is liquid at 20° C. and 1013 mbar, b) has a boiling point which is higher than the boiling point of the solvent and/or has a vapor pressure at 20° C. which is lower than the vapor pressure of the solvent contained in the silicone acrylic hybrid composition, and c) provides better dissolution properties for the inner phase of the initial silicone acrylic hybrid composition than the solvent contained in the silicone acrylic hybrid composition.
Self-fusing silicone tape compositions having corrosion inhibitors therein
Self-fusing silicone tapes contain neutral corrosion inhibitors therein such as salts of acids. Such tapes provide protection in an acid gas environment as well as under thermal insulation. The same also allows inspection of protected structure without removing the protection apparatus.
ARTICLES COMPRISING ADHESIVE MEMBRANES WITH IMPROVED GEOMETRY AND WATER ENTRY PRESSURE
Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an article comprising a membrane. In some embodiments, the membrane comprises a first surface. In some embodiments, the first surface of the membrane comprises an inner region and an outer region. In some embodiments, the adhesive layer is disposed on the outer region. In some embodiments, the article exhibits a water entry pressure that is 25% to 50% higher than a comparative article when tested according to the Assembly Water Entry Pressure Test (“Assembly WEP Test”). In some embodiments, the comparative article is identical to the article except that the inner region of the first surface of the membrane of the article has a perimeter that is 10% to 75% higher than a perimeter of an inner region of a first surface of a membrane of the comparative article.
High performance plastic magnetic materials and preparation method thereof
The invention discloses a high performance plastic magnetic material, comprising a low surface energy layer, a magnetic layer and a printable layer, wherein the magnetic layer and the printable layer are arranged successively on a first side of the low surface energy layer; the low surface energy layer is an organic silicon pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The invention further discloses a preparation method, comprising the following steps: pretreating a magnetic powder with a coupling agent; mixing the pretreated magnetic powder with matrix components and auxiliaries to gain a mixture; extrusion compositing the gained mixture with a printable layer to gain composite paper having the printable layer and a magnetic layer; and applying a low surface energy layer on a side of the magnetic layer, opposite the printable layer. As no UV layer and no adhesive residue, the material of the invention is environmentally friendly and highly reliable.
Polymer foam adhesive tape and pressure-sensitive type touch panel comprising the same
A polymer foam adhesive tape including: a substrate film; a polymer foam layer provided on one surface of the substrate film; a first adhesive layer provided on the polymer foam layer; and a second adhesive layer provided on the other surface of the substrate film, in which the polymer foam adhesive tape has a minimum compression load of 30 g to 300 g, a compression rate of the polymer foam adhesive tape is increased in proportion to a linear function according to an increase in pressure when pressure, which is equal to or more than the minimum compression load, is applied, and a thickness recovery rate of the polymer foam adhesive tape after pressure is removed is increased in proportion to a linear function as time passes.
