METHOD FOR THE FRACTIONATION OF FATTY ACIDS WITH A DIFFERENCE OF TWO CARBONS BY MOLECULAR DISTILLATION
A method for the fractionation of fatty acids with a difference of two carbons by molecular distillation with double pass fractionation between eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids, and compositions of microorganism oils enriched in eicosapentaenoic or docosahexaenoic acid. The method wherein (i) a reaction step between an microorganism oil including omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in triglyceride form and an alcohol in the presence of a chemical or enzymatic catalyst, (ii) a first step of molecular distillation under high vacuum of the oil from step (i), in a scraper film evaporator coupled to a rectification column including at least seven theoretical plates, and recovery of a first residue and distillate, (iii) a second step of molecular distillation under high vacuum of the step (ii) residue, in the scraper film evaporator, and recovery of a second residue and distillate.

Process for producing industrial products from plant lipids
The present invention relates to methods of producing industrial products from plant lipids, particularly from vegetative parts of plants. In particular, the present invention provides oil products such as biodiesel and synthetic diesel and processes for producing these, as well as plants having an increased level of one or more non-polar lipids such as triacylglycerols and an increased total non-polar lipid content. In one particular embodiment, the present invention relates to combinations of modifications in two or more of lipid handling enzymes, oil body proteins, decreased lipid catabolic enzymes and/or transcription factors regulating lipid biosynthesis to increase the level of one or more non-polar lipids and/or the total non-polar lipid content and/or mono-unsaturated fatty acid content in plants or any part thereof. In an embodiment, the present invention relates to a process for extracting lipids. In another embodiment, the lipid is converted to one or more hydrocarbon products in harvested plant vegetative parts to produce alkyl esters of the fatty acids which are suitable for use as a renewable biodiesel fuel.

PROCESS FOR CONVERTING BIOSOURCED TRIGLYCERIDES INTO A SINGLE-PHASE COMPOSITION CONTAINING FATTY ACID ESTER AND RELATED USES AS BIOFUEL OR LUBRICANT
The present techniques relate to facilitating conversion of biosourced triglycerides into fatty acid esters by combining the biosourced triglycerides with a carbonate ester in presence of an alcohol, under catalytic transesterification conditions. A reaction mixture can be heated to a reaction temperature to operate a transesterification of the biosourced triglyceride with the carbonate ester under catalysis of the alcohol thereby forming a single-phase composition comprising the fatty acid esters. The reaction mixture can have a molar ratio of the biosourced triglyceride over the carbonate ester between 1:0.1 and 1:20. Compositions comprising the produced single-phase composition, and optionally an additive, can be used as diesel, jet fuel or lubricant.
