Method for Improving Strength and Dyeing of Wool Fibers
20220356643 · 2022-11-10 ·

The disclosure provides a method for improving the strength and dyeing of wool fibers, and belongs to the technical field of modification of textile materials. By using the feature that protein fiber macromolecules contain a large number of active groups such as hydroxyl groups, amino groups and carboxyl groups, which easily react with polyphenolic pigments formed by a phenolic compound catalyzed by an enzyme to form covalent bonding, the disclosure realizes low temperature dyeing of wool fibers while improving the fiber strength. The disclosure has mild operating conditions easy to control, and in view of increasingly emphasis on environmental protection nowadays, the use of the biological enzyme for dyeing wool fibers is safe, environmentally friendly and efficient, and has a long-term development prospect.

DYE RANGE AND PROCESSES, AND YARNS AND FABRICS PRODUCED THEREFROM

The invention generally relates to fabric dyeing, such as fabric dyeing using indigo or sulphur dyes. A process is provided which provides a dyed yarn having reduced dye penetration and a white core. The process involves modification of existing sulfur dye ranges to more efficiently and in an environmentally improved method produce dyed fabrics. The modification involves one or more of i) using of a barrier compound to subsequent dye applications; ii) performing a scouring stage without a caustic agent; iii) bypassing scouring and/or scour rising; iv) using sodium bicarbonate to control the pH of dye tanks; v) reducing the dye concentration and increasing the number of dye vats; and vi) adding a sizing stage to the dye range. The invention also is directed to yarns dyed on dye ranges through use of the process, and fabrics formed from the dyed yarns.

Fiber dyeing method using supercritical carbon dioxide fluid as medium

The invention discloses a waterless fiber dyeing method using supercritical carbon dioxide fluid as a medium. Dry fibers are tightly loaded layer by layer in a porous yarn cage. After dyeing, the fibers are cleaned to remove unfixed dyes by an online way, thereby obtaining waterless dyed dry fiber products with good quality. With the supercritical carbon dioxide dyed by a dye, the invention can not only solve the problems of high energy consumption, high discharge, high pollution in the traditional dyeing process, but also obtain better dyeing effect. The invention has a simple process and convenient operation, which can effectively realize dry dyeing processing. The reaction is mild, avoiding the use of a large amount of water, heat and additives in high concentration, which has the features of being high efficiency and environmentally friendly.
