Pumping unit bases with driven piles

A pumping unit base and methods for producing oil and gas with the pumping unit base. The pumping unit base may include a plurality of driven piles installed in the ground, and a metal platform fixedly attached to the plurality of driven piles, wherein the metal platform is positioned above the ground. The metal platform may be removed from the driven piles and reinstalled to the driven piles.

An improved pile cap connector for connecting the top end of a driven pile, e.g., pipe pile, to a support beam or girder of a building, and/or the building proper, comprising, a cap plate, one or more lower braces secured to the underside of the cap plate to anchor the cap to the pile, two or more upper braces securable to the top side of the support plate, wherein at least one of the two or more upper braces has a length so that the brace, when secured to the cap plate, rises above the support beam or girder so that a portion of the brace lays against the building proper for fastening thereto.

The foundation pile additionally comprises a rib formed in at least one of the first flange, the second flange, and the web, wherein the rib comprises a bent portion of at least one of the at least two layers of the sheet.

Hollow Subsea Foundations

A method of installing an upright elongate hollow subsea foundation that is higher than it is wide, such as a suction pile. The foundation is at least partially embedded in seabed soil. A partition layer is placed within the foundation, for example by injecting a grout, supported by a plug of soil that is surrounded by the foundation. The partition layer is placed on the plug of soil at a level that is spaced from the top of the foundation by at least 20% of the height of the foundation. Above the partition layer, the interior of the foundation may be filled with water and/or a rigid body, such as a solid mass or a hollow liquid-filled tank.

Geosynthetic reinforced wall panels comprising soil reinforcing members

Geosynthetic reinforced wall panels including soil reinforcing members and retaining wall system formed therewith are disclosed. The geosynthetic reinforced wall panels include any type of wall panels, such as a precast concrete wall panels, that are supported by an arrangement of soil reinforcing members. Various configurations of soil reinforcing members may include end tabs and/or inner tabs that have strips arranged therebetween. Examples of soil reinforcing members include, but are not limited to narrow-width single-section reinforcing members, narrow-width multi-section reinforcing members, and wide-width reinforcing members. Further, a retaining wall system is provided that includes any arrangement of the one or more geosynthetic reinforced wall panels.

Landscaping walls, systems and methods of manufacturing and installation of such walls include in aspects a fiberglass based wall having a decorative front side and a back side having at least one conduit where the conduit receives a cable or fastener extending outward from both ends of the conduit to connect to a stake to be inserted into ground adjacent the wall. The conduit in one aspect is a PVC tube mounted vertically against the wall and in aspects is embedded within the wall. The conduit allows for self-adjustment of the cable while also providing solid anchoring of the wall to prevent movement. The wall and system is lightweight, good looking and easy to install.

A method for constructing a combination pier includes: forming a pile in a bore hole from the bottom of the bore hole to a desired depth; and forming a pier from the desired depth to the surface.

Tapered Manhole Assembly

A tapered manhole assembly includes a manhole frame that is positionable in a roadway. The manhole frame has a first portion and a second portion each sloping downwardly from a horizontally oriented centerline of the manhole frame to match the slope of the roadway. A manhole cover is removably positioned on the manhole frame to close the manhole frame. The manhole cover has a top side and the top side is divided into a first half and a second half, each sloping downwardly from a centerline of the manhole cover. The manhole cover is oriented on the manhole frame such that each of the first and second halves of the manhole cover is coplanar with a respective one of the first and second sections of the top edge of the manhole frame. Thus, each of the first and second halves of the manhole cover match the slope of the roadway.

Retaining wall assembly

A retaining wall assembly includes a concrete retaining wall including a bore, and a cylindrical tube fixed in the bore and sized to fixedly fit to a culvert pipe. The cylindrical tube includes a tube body and a flange extending radially outward from the tube body, and the flange is embedded in the retaining wall. The cylindrical tube, when fixedly fit inside the culvert pipe, supports a full weight of the retaining wall. A method of installing the retaining wall to the culvert pipe includes providing the retaining wall assembly, fixedly fitting the cylindrical tube to the culvert pipe, and providing only native soil directly below a bottom edge of the retaining wall.
