Key hole cover
A vehicle lock assembly key hole cover having a flat or ovoid surface with an annular shoulder extending axially from the surface. The annular shoulder is formed with one of several features including a taper in cross-section, geometrically-shaped slots and elastomeric inserts to impart flexibility to the shoulder. An elastomeric sealing ring may be secured to an inner surface of the shoulder to create a seal and increase adhesion to a lock assembly. An adhesive patch may be used to enhance adhesion to a lock assembly.
DOOR HARDWARE NOISE REDUCTION AND EVALUATION
An exemplary noise-reducing mechanism for door hardware includes a housing, a damper, and a stop. The door hardware includes a first component and a second component, and an operational movement of the door hardware causes relative movement of the first and second components. The housing is mounted to the first component, and the damper is mounted to the housing. The stop is mounted to the second component such that the stop engages the damper during the operational movement. The damper is configured to slow the operational movement, thereby reducing noise generated by operation of the door hardware.
Interactive door knob
A door knob assembly that provides an interactive visual and aural assembly familiar to a room occupant and that responds to variations in the manner of rotation of the knob in a plurality of responses, depending on the direction and rate of rotation applied to the knob, providing messages appropriate to the entertainment, safety and/or training of the knob operator and/or room occupant.
Combination lock
Provided is a combination lock including a housing having an lodge port configured for removably receiving therein a shank; a locking bar received within the housing and having a shank port; a combination mechanism associated with the locking bar; and a securing arrangement including an arresting member of the locking bar.
COMPRESSION LATCH
A compression latch assembly for latching a panel to a frame includes a housing assembly, a lockplug assembly, a handle actuator assembly, and a rotating pawl assembly. The housing assembly defines an exterior well and a first and second compartment. The lockplug assembly resides within the first compartment and includes a lockplug having a circumferential guide surface. The handle actuator assembly has a handle within the exterior well, a crank coupled to the handle, and a drive shaft coupled to the crank. The handle and the crank rotate about common pivot point within the second compartment. The handle is selectively captured and ejected by interaction between the circumferential guide surface and a locking pin on the handle. The rotating pawl assembly has a hook defining a slot that receives the drive shaft. Pivotal movement of the handle actuates the hook by movement of the drive shaft within the slot.
Hydraulically actuated locking latching system
A door sealing system for a container having a container door is provided. The container can be part of a vacuum system, for example as mounted on a trailer. The sealing system is hydraulically actuated and includes a mechanical lock. A corresponding vacuum system and method of operation are also provided.
LATCH BOLT MONITOR USING A REED SWITCH
An electrically or manually actuated locking device comprising a magnetic reed switch as a sensor to monitor whether or not the device is locked. The reed switch is mounted on a circuit board to make a sub-assembly and the sub-assembly is coated with a plastic or other synthetic material which is impermeable to water and/or oil and which provides a degree of mechanical protection from breakage. The coated sub-assembly is then mounted within a housing incorporating the locking device. A pivotable magnet carrier which pivots when the bolt of the locking device is engaged causes the reed switch to be actuated.
Tamper evident trailer lock
A cover for a handle of a cargo door to cover hasp elements and a lock. The cover includes a first housing with a first front wall, first side walls each having a front and rear edge, and a top end wall and define a first housing interior. A guide leg and a latch is disposed on the first housing. A second housing includes a second front wall, second side walls, and a bottom end wall that define a second housing interior. The second housing includes a guide socket configured to receive the guide leg and a catch configured to receive and retain the latch. The housing interiors define a cover interior that covers the hasp elements and an installed lock with one of the guide leg and the latch disposed behind the handle and the other of the guide leg and the latch disposed in front of the handle.
LOCKING MECHANISM
The present invention relates to a locking mechanism for arrangement on a door, the locking mechanism (1) comprising an actuator(10), arranged to be linearly movable along a first axis(Y). The locking mechanism further comprises a locking clamp (20) for engaging a locking element (50) on a door frame. The locking clamp (20) may be flexibly coupled to the actuator (10) so that, when the actuator (10) is moved along the first axis, the locking clamp (20) may move linearly along the first axis (Y) and rotate around a first rotational axis(A) to admit engagement to the locking element. The present invention further relates to a locking system (100) comprising such locking mechanism (1). Figure for publication: FIG. 5
Pull-out device for at least two pull-out furniture parts
A device for blocking the pull-out movement of pull-out furniture parts including, for each of the pull-out furniture parts, a driver, a blocking unit which has a shiftable actuating, and a retraction spring and blocking rods which cooperate with the actuating parts, a respective actuating part that is shifted due to movement of the driver when the pull-out furniture part is pulled out and that displaces a blocking rod in a longitudinal axis direction, the blocking rods being blocked from any further axial displacement by a stop. Each of the blocking units has a pivotable catch arm that swivelable about a stationary pivot axis lying parallel to the longitudinal axes of the blocking rods and is loaded by the refraction spring, the catch arm being pivoted by the driver from an initial position to a final position when the pull-out furniture part is pulled out, thereby shifting the actuating part.
