A vehicle door lock apparatus includes a housing, a fork, a pawl, a first lever displaceably provided in the housing such that the first lever can act on the pawl, and a second lever pivotably provided in the housing. One end of the second lever has a linkage coupled to a lower end of a transmission rod, which is coupled to an exterior door handle. The second lever pivots in response to an opening operation being performed on the exterior door handle and acts on the first lever. A plane of rotation contains an arcuate trajectory traced by the linkage when it pivots in response to the opening operation being performed, and is located farther in a frontward direction of a vehicle frame than a fixing surface. The plane of rotation is inclined relative to a plane containing the fixing surface, and intersects this plane in the vehicle downward direction.

A vehicle door lock apparatus includes housings respectively having a housing chamber and a latch chamber formed therein, a latch mechanism housed in the latch chamber and being configured to retain a door closed with respect to a vehicle frame, and an actuating mechanism housed in the housing chamber for actuating the latch mechanism. A first and a second switch are housed in one of the latch chamber and the housing chamber, and respectively detect states of the actuating mechanism and the latch mechanism. A plurality of terminals is arranged in a first row and a second row in the housing. The first switch is connected to terminals in the first row and the second switch is connected to terminals in the second row such that the plurality of terminals is sandwiched by the first switch and the second switch.

The subject matter of the present invention is a motor-vehicle door lock which is equipped with a locking mechanism, further with an opening drive (3, 4) which acts on the locking mechanism, and also with an operating lever mechanism (6, 7). At least one sensor (8) for checking an operator opening request is further provided. Finally, a safety device (9, 10, 11), which prevents the locking mechanism (3, 4) from opening at least in its safe position, is provided. The invention makes provision for an intermediate lever (7) of the operating lever mechanism (6, 7), which intermediate lever mechanically converts the operator opening request, to selectively act on or not act on the sensor (8) which actuates the opening drive (3, 4), depending on the position of the safety device (9, 10, 11).

Lock for a flap or door

The aim of the invention is to design a door lock or flap lock which can be easily and reliably opened with little effort. Said aim is achieved by a door lock or flap lock comprising a locking mechanism that consists of a latch and at least one pawl for locking the latch. The lock further comprises a triggering lever which, upon being actuated allows the locked locking mechanism to be unlocked. The lock also comprises a spring for moving the pawl in the direction of the locking position. When the triggering lever is actuated, the triggering lever rests against the spring to push the spring away from the pawl and decrease or cancel the spring force. Using the triggering lever, functions, the number of parts can be kept to a minimum. Advantageously, the lock therefore is not complex to produce and is compact and lightweight.

In one aspect, a latch assembly is provided. The latch assembly includes a claw movable between a latched position and an unlatched position, and a pawl movable between a first position and a second position. The pawl engages and holds the claw in the latched position when the pawl is in the first position, and the pawl disengages the claw for movement to the unlatched position when the pawl is in the second position. The latch assembly also includes a switch cam movable between a switch-off position and a switch-on position. The claw engages and holds the switch cam in the switch-on position when the claw is in the unlatched position, the claw releasing the switch cam for movement to the switch-off position when the claw rotates to the latched position.
