A device for sealing a vertical hairstyle including synthetic strands. The device includes a chamber having a heating mechanism disposed in a bottom surface of the chamber. The device further includes a neck portion defining a portal into the device. The neck portion is at least partially lined with a liquid-absorbent material. An extendable portion is disposed between, and connects, the chamber and the neck portion. The extendable portion is extendable between a fully compressed state and a fully extended state.

A hair iron having a first handle member pivotally connected to a second handle member, a first styling head extending from the first handle member, and a second styling head extending from the second handle member. A hair styling tool that a base member with a body pad attached to the base member. The body pad can be a foam brush member with a plurality of holes formed therein. A plurality of hair shapers can be disposed in the holes of the body pad. A hairbrush includes a main body, a first set of bristles, a second set of bristles, and a handle extending from the main body. The main body has a shape allowing the bristles of the hairbrush to be disposed around the body. Preferably, the hairbrush will have bristle sockets or the like arranged along the main body permitting a plurality of bristles to be inserted into each of the sockets. The bristles of the first set of bristles are substantially longer than the bristles of the second set of bristles. Furthermore, the bristles of the first set of bristles and the bristles of the second set of bristles will be of a different type. The first set of bristles and the second set of bristles are arranged in a stacked helical pattern around the main body. In use, the first set of bristles reach to the scalp and lift strands of hair up from the scalp, and the second set of bristles then smooth these strands. The result is to produce volume and luxurious hair.

The invention I made alters the structure of the teeth in combs/brushes to create friction by adding edges (of various shapes and sizes) to the teeth to rob against the hair as the hair is being combed/brushed thus causing friction and creating heat. The heat created and the force of the friction of the Designer Comb straightens the hair for all hair types but for 3 b hair and kinkier it also flattens the hair so people with afros can simply comb up the sides of their hair to get a high-top hair style.

In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a crosslinking agent comprising an oxidized sugar having at least two aldehyde groups. In another aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method of crosslinking protein fibers. This method involves providing the aforementioned crosslinking agent and infiltrating a plurality of non-crosslinked protein fibers with the crosslinking agent under conditions effective to cause protein molecules contained in the non-crosslinked protein fibers to become crosslinked, thereby yielding a population of crosslinked protein fibers.

The disclosed hair styling iron includes a circuit board with a built-in Bluetooth, a speaker, control button(s) and a rechargeable battery. Once the hair styling iron is paired with another Bluetooth device, the user can control certain function(s) of the connected Bluetooth device and also stream audio media from the connected Bluetooth device. The rechargeable battery provides power to the speaker and the circuit board when the hair styling iron is not connected to an alternative current (AC) power source.
