A hair iron comprising an ion generator that generates ions comprises a slotted nozzle in communication with the ion generator for generating an ion curtain projecting from at least one side of a body of the hair iron, alongside and substantially parallel to a longitudinal edge of the heating element that contacts the hair in use.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR STYLING HAIR
20210219690 · 2021-07-22 ·

Devices and methods for styling hair, and in particular, to devices and methods for styling hair using electrolysis are described herein. A method for styling hair includes arranging a section of hair between a first electrode and a second electrode. The section of hair is contacted with an electrolyte before being arranged between the first and second electrodes, after being arranged between the first and second electrodes, and/or concurrently with being arranged between the first and second electrodes. The method further includes causing the first electrode to have a first negative potential, and causing the second electrode to have a second potential, such that the absolute value of the first negative potential is greater than the absolute value of the second potential, and such that the difference in electrical potential between the first electrode and the second electrode creates an electrolysis zone between the first electrode and the second electrode.

HAIR STYLING DEVICE
20210235835 · 2021-08-05 ·

A hair styling device (S), comprising a luminescent unit (LU) for subjecting hair (H) to optical radiation. Preferably, the luminescent unit (LU) is arranged to translate a first wavelength of light (Li) from a light source (L) into a second wavelength of escaping light (EL) escaping from the luminescent unit (LU). Preferably, light escapes from the luminescent unit (LU) where hair (H) touches the luminescent unit (LU). Preferably, the luminescent unit (LU) is provided with a scattering element. A refractive index of the luminescent unit (LU) may range from 1.3 to 1.7, preferably 1.3 to 1.42. Preferably, the luminescent unit (LU) provides for a plurality of treatment compartments. The hair styling device preferably comprises a handle having a light source (L) for coupling light (Li) into the luminescent unit (LU), and may be provided with a plurality of exchangeable luminescent units (LU) each adapted for a respective hair styling type, which exchangeable luminescent units (LU) are insertable into the handle.

HAIR BRAIDING KIT
20210219689 · 2021-07-22 ·

A hair braiding kit includes a base mat with a first hair attachment and a second hair attachment attached at different locations to the mat. The first and second hair attachments have multiple strands configured in 3 columns, each strand attached to the mat midway between a first end and a second end. The strands of the second hair attachment are thinner than the strands of the first attachment. A hair braiding game includes a grid and multiple game pieces. The grid has multiple rows, a row-label column, and at least 3 lane columns, forming playing cells. The number of game pieces corresponds to the number of playing cells. Each game piece has one of several unique identifiers matching the number of lane columns. A pre-pluck, multi-ethnic mannequin head includes groupings of multiple strands affixed to the mannequin head. Each grouping has a unique characteristic thickness and/or texture.
