NBC FILTRATION SYSTEM WITH AIR EXCHANGE BACKUP UNIT
A near ceiling mounted NBC filtration system of collective protection shelters comprising a filter unit, a blower, and an air exchange backup unit [20] (FIG. 5). The air exchange backup unit [20] comprising: a plurality of hinged segments [22a, b, c] serially linked to each other to form a foldable arm. The hinged segments [22a, b, c] are configured for transmission of rotational motion between each other. At least one of the hinged segments comprises at least one stage of a first speed increasing transmission. A first end [24] of the air exchange backup unit is swiveably attached to an electric motor [42] driving a blower [40]. And a second end [26] of the air exchange backup unit carries a detachable hand crank [28]. Manual rotation of the hand crank [28] rotates a shaft of the electric motor [42] at substantially a rated speed of the electric motor. The second end [26] of the air exchange backup unit is firmly attachable to a wall of the protection shelter at a convenient position for manual cranking of the hand crank [28]. The air exchange backup unit [20] is selectively folded up at normal times.
BICYCLE REAR WHEEL ARRANGEMENT
A bicycle rear wheel sprocket arrangement comprises a carrier sprocket and a self-supporting sprocket cluster connected to the carrier sprocket on the outboard side in a connection region of the carrier sprocket. The sprocket arrangement comprises a plurality of further sprockets which are designed as sprocket rings. The sprocket rings are each arranged on the carrier sprocket in the connection region and each are connected to the carrier sprocket.
Method and system for starting an internal combustion engine
A method and a system for starting an internal combustion engine (ICE) having a crankshaft and an electric turning machine (ETM) operatively connected to the crankshaft are disclosed. An absolute angular position of the crankshaft related to a top dead center position of a piston in a combustion chamber of the ICE is determined. Electric power is delivered to the ETM at a first level to rotate the crankshaft. Electric power is then delivered to the ETM at a second level greater than the first level when the piston reaches a predetermined position before the TDC position. Fuel is injected in the combustion chamber after the piston has passed beyond the TDC position. The fuel is then ignited. In an implementation, the ICE is started in less than 110 degrees of rotation of the crankshaft.
Reciprocating device
The present disclosure provides a reciprocating device which includes a base, a moving frame, a shaking unit, an adjustment unit, and a driving unit. The moving frame can reciprocate relative to the base. The shaking unit has a shaking assembly and a driven assembly. The shake of the shaking assembly enables the driven assembly to move, and the movement of the driven assembly enables the moving frame to reciprocate relative to the base. The adjustment unit has an adjustment assembly and a power member. The power member drives the adjustment assembly to change the position thereof, and the positional change of the adjustment assembly alters the way that the shaking assembly shakes to adjust the reciprocating range of the moving frame. Therefore, the moving frame of the present invention can reciprocate and the reciprocating range of the moving frame can be adjusted according to the user's preference, so that the present invention can help a user sleep and improve sleep quality.
MULTI-SPROCKET ARRANGEMENT
A multi-sprocket arrangement for a bicycle includes a larger sprocket having a passage recess on an outer link plate passage tooth on an outboard side of the larger sprocket facing a smaller sprocket. The recess is on a side of the larger sprocket facing the smaller sprocket. The passage recess extends from a radially outer tooth tip of the outer link plate passage tooth to a non-load tooth flank of the outer link plate passage tooth or a tooth base directly adjacent to the outer link plate passage tooth such that during a gear shifting of a chain from a larger sprocket to a directly adjacent smaller sprocket, the chain passes the outer link plate passage tooth on the outboard side of the sprocket.
HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED TWO SPEED FRONT END ACCESSORY DRIVE
A front end accessory drive system is disclosed. The system includes a hub configured to drivingly engage with a crankshaft and a gear transmission system. A one-way clutch includes a first bearing ring connected to an end of a plurality of planet pins of the gear transmission system, and a second bearing ring connected to a sun gear of the gear transmission system. A pump configured to direct hydraulic fluid through a hydraulic fluid circuit. A clutch pack is in fluid connection with the hydraulic fluid circuit. The clutch pack includes at least one clutch plate supported by the gear transmission system, such that a portion of the gear transmission system is grounded via frictional engagement of the at least one clutch plate in an actuated state of the clutch pack.
ENGINE SYSTEM
An engine system includes a first camshaft, a second camshaft, a first camshaft phaser, and a second camshaft phaser. The first camshaft phaser has a first camshaft sprocket, and the second camshaft phaser has a second camshaft sprocket. The engine system also includes a crankshaft spaced from the first and second camshafts, and a crankshaft sprocket coupled to the crankshaft. The engine system further includes a timing chain coupled to the first and second camshaft sprockets, and the crankshaft sprocket. The timing chain is configured to transmit torque from the crankshaft sprocket to the first and second camshaft sprockets upon rotation of the crankshaft. The engine system further includes a biasing member extending from a first end portion coupled to the first camshaft phaser to a second end portion coupled to the second camshaft phaser to maintain tension on the timing chain between the first and second camshaft phasers.
Systems and methods for a bidirectional decoupler for an integrated starter/generator
Methods and systems are provided for a starter/generator in a vehicle drivetrain. In one example, a system may include an integrated starter/generator (ISG) rotationally coupled to an engine crankshaft via a belt drive system, the belt drive system including a first decoupler configured to engage a shaft of the ISG in a first torque transfer direction only and a second decoupler configured to engage the shaft of the ISG in a second torque transfer direction only, the second torque transfer direction opposite the first torque transfer direction. In this way, hubloads that occur while transitioning the ISG between driving the belt drive system and being driven by the belt drive system may be reduced while a response time of the transitioning may also be reduced.
