Insert valve and method of insertion into pressurized pipelines
11959577 · 2024-04-16 ·

A method of cutting and removing a section of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe and then installing a replacement valve while the pipeline is fully pressurized uses a replacement valve body (22) with two cylinders (223, 225) that match the openings of the cut pipe (35). Inside each of the two cylinders (223, 225) is a cut-covering assembly (62) which includes a cylindrical elastomeric seal (26) and spring tube (25), and a cross brace (27) extends between two surfaces within the spring tube (25). The replacement valve body (22) further includes a rotatable valve (24) in a central portion of the valve, and when the cylinder ends of the replacement valve body (22) are positioned adjacent the bores of cut pipe ends (36), the valve (24) can be rotated to push the elastomeric seals (26) of each of the cut-covering assemblies (62) into the bores of the cut pipe ends (36), thereby covering gaps (77) created when the pipe (35) was cut and placing the pipe ends (36) in fluid-tight engagement with the replacement valve body (22).

TUBING RETRIEVABLE SAFETY VALVE ASSEMBLY WITH SECONDARY FLAPPER AND SEAT

A tubing retrievable safety valve assembly and related methods are disclosed herein. The assembly includes a primary flapper, a secondary flapper, a flow tube, and a protective sleeve. The flow tube is shiftable between a downhole position that holds the primary flapper in an open position and an uphole position that allows the primary flapper to move to a closed position. The protective sleeve, when positioned in an uphole position, holds the secondary flapper valve in an open position. The protective sleeve is shiftable to a downhole position to allow the secondary flapper to move to a closed position, for example, upon failure of the primary flapper.

SOLENOID VALVE WITH MANUAL OVERRIDE FUNCTIONALITY THAT HAS COOPERATING LATCH AND RELEASE HANDLES
20190309869 · 2019-10-10 ·

A solenoid valve includes a manually operable override with a latch handle that comprises a profile for, in a latched position, latching a valve core by having the profile block an operator part of the valve core in a longitudinal direction, and that is biased towards its latched position, preferably by means of gravitational forces acting upon it. The profile includes a recessed hook portion for, in an unlatched position, abutting sideways against the operator part for limiting the latch handle to move towards its latched position. A release handle is movably connected to the latch handle from a starting towards a release position for forcing the operator part to slide along the hook portion in the longitudinal direction until it no longer abuts sideways against the operator part and releases the biased latch handle.

Refrigeration appliance with beverage dispenser and valve assembly for a container of the dispenser

A refrigeration appliance, in particular domestic refrigeration appliance, has a heat-insulating housing, which surrounds a storage compartment for refrigerated goods and has at least one passage between the storage compartment and a dispenser recess disposed outside of the heat-insulating housing. A container-valve assembly is detachably installed in the storage compartment and projects through the passage. A cover for closing the dispenser recess is articulated at the housing.

Radial bearing device

A bearing device for supporting a shaft to rotate relative to an outer hub includes: an annular outer race mountable within an interior bore of the hub, the outer race including an inwardly facing radial groove sized to receive a rounded bearing element; and an annular inner race mountable to an outwardly curved exterior surface of the shaft. The inner race includes an outwardly facing radial groove sized to receive the bearing element, the respective radial grooves of the inner and outer races together forming an annular raceway to retain the bearing element when the bearing device is assembled. The inner race further includes an axially convex surface along an innermost diameter of the inner race, the convex surface shaped to directly engage the exterior surface of the shaft when mounted thereto, such that the inner race remains in contact with the shaft while accommodating radial deflection of the shaft.

A first relief valve chamber (3) of a main relief valve (10) and a second relief valve chamber (7) of an auxiliary relief valve (11) are provided in series in a valve case 1. The first relief valve chamber (3) includes a valve seat chamber (4) at the right and a valve chamber (5) at the left. A first valve member (30) in the valve chamber (5) is biased toward a valve seat member (18) in the valve seat chamber (4) by a first relief spring (40). A second valve member (48) in the second relief valve chamber (7) is biased toward a second valve seat (47) by a second relief spring (50).

An installation device for installing a branch liner in a branch point of a pipeline is disclosed. The device has a body with an inlet defined therein for fluids and a turning knob is rotatable relative to the body. The turning knob is attached to a first shaft and the opposite end of the first shaft is attached to a first barrel. The device further comprises a second barrel and a second shaft attached between said barrels. The device further comprises a duct extending between the body and the first barrel forming a passage for fluids from the inlet of the body to an area between said first barrel and said second barrel.
