Solid state lamp with light directing optics and diffuser
Lamps and bulbs are disclosed generally comprising different combinations and arrangements of a light source, a reflective optical element, and a separate diffusing layer. This arrangement allows for the fabrication of lamps and bulbs that are efficient, reliable and cost effective and can provide an essentially omni-directional emission pattern, even with a light source comprised of an arrangement of LEDs. The lamps according to the present invention can also comprise thermal management features that provide for efficient dissipation of heat from the LEDs, which in turn allows the LEDs to operate at lower temperatures. The lamps can also comprise optical elements to help change the emission pattern from the generally directional pattern of the LEDs to a more omni-directional pattern.
LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE, LIGHT SOURCE CONTROL METHOD, AND IMAGE ACQUISITION SYSTEM
To enable reduction of unevenness of multiplexed light while suppressing decrease in light guiding efficiency.
There is provided a light source device including: a light source unit that emits a plurality of types of lights; an optical waveguide unit that multiplexes the plurality of types of lights and then guides multiplexed light to an image acquisition device that acquires an image of an imaging object; and an incident unit that causes the plurality of types of lights to be incident on the optical waveguide unit, is which on an incident surface of the plurality of types of lights is the incident unit, with a predetermined position of the incident unit as a reference position, maximum separation distances are equal to each other from the reference position to incident positions of the respective plurality of types of lights incident on the incident unit.
MOVING BODY
A moving body is provided that is capable of suppressing a rise in temperature of a light source and radiating high-luminance light. An unmanned aircraft (1A) is an unmanned aircraft that gains propulsion through a fan (4), including a laser unit (10A) that emits a laser beam (L1), wherein the laser unit (10A) has its heat dissipation efficiency enhanced by air that is blasted by the fan (4).
Lighting device with divergent reflection surfaces between excitation light sources and fluorescent plate
An illumination device includes a plurality of excitation light sources; a fluorescent plate for receiving the excitation light and emitting fluorescent light; and an optical system for causing excitation light from each of the plurality of excitation light sources to be incident on the fluorescent plate, the optical system includes a plurality of reflection surfaces for redirecting the output from the respective excitation light sources into a divergent light pattern.

Backlight unit
The present invention relates to a backlight unit for use in a display device. The backlight unit includes a circuit board, at least one light-emitting diode chip mounted on the circuit board, a plurality of reflection members arranged on the upper part of the light-emitting diode chip, and a light diffusing member. The light diffusing member has an incident surface on which light enters and an emitting surface from which light is emitted. The light diffusing member is arranged on the upper part of the circuit board. The plurality of reflection members are stacked on each other and reflect a part of light emitted from the upper surface of the light-emitting diode chip.
ILLUMINATION UNIT AND DISPLAY
An illumination unit includes: a light source section including a laser light source; an optical-path branching device outputting light incident from the light source section, by branching the light into an outgoing optical path of illumination light and other optical path; a photodetector receiving a light flux that travels on the other optical path; a control section controlling an emitted light quantity in the laser light source, based on a quantity of the light flux received by the photodetector; and a light-quantity-distribution control device disposed between the optical-path branching device and the photodetector on the other optical path, the light-quantity-distribution control device controlling a light quantity distribution in the light flux to be incident upon the photodetector.
Lighting system and a method of generating a light output
A lighting module has an LED (44), a lens (45) over the LED to produce a beam-shaped output from the LED and a collimator (50) arranged to partially collimate the beam-shaped out-put. Blue light is provided at large angles to the normal, for example using a filter arrangement (54, 56) over the collimator which is adapted to filter light from the collimator at relatively large angles to the normal. The filter arrangement does not filter light from the collimator at relatively small angles to the normal. Thus, the module provides white task light in a normal direction and blue ambient light at steep angles. The overall system can be compact and light efficient.
