Furniture pieces which incorporate load-bearing or non-load bearing structures in which water or other material may be stored. By incorporating such storage capacity within furniture, a user may take advantage of space that would otherwise be unused or unusable to unobtrusively and conveniently store an emergency water supply or other desired material.

A novel form of furniture where various types of seating arrangements which can be provided with interchangeable hexagon shaped cushions to achieve swivel chair, sofa and stool configuration. The assembly allows easy to assemble and disassemble structure where multiple configurations can be achieved with slide adjustments. The assembly allows enhanced air circulation, easy removal and placement of cushions, easy storage, interchangeable cushions and allows user to replace or service individual cushions without the need to replace the entire furniture piece. The cushions are also interchangeable for aesthetic choices where user can create different color combinations based on their aesthetic preference. Cushion units can be replaced to change its visual appearance without the need to replace the entire chair.

A modular sofa assembly described herein includes a plurality of seating modules each having a seat section, a backrest section, and side edge surfaces. The backrest section includes first and second portions coupled for movement between a folded configuration and an extended configuration. An armrest module has an armrest side edge surface configured for mating engagement with a side edge surface of a seating module. The modular sofa is assembled by aligning connectors of the seating modules and armrest module, with each respective connectors slidingly engaged along an axis. After bringing the modules together, these connections are secured with the side edge surfaces in abutting engagement. The modular sofa further may include a power cradle mounted at the sofa's bottom surface. The power cradle includes a cubic power outlet near the front of the sofa, and power cable extending beyond the back of the sofa.

A box with a lid having first and second opposed pairs of downwardly projecting legs which partially overlie the sides of the box to close the same. The length of the first pair of downwardly projecting legs is less than the length of the second pair of downwardly projecting legs. A generally horizontal ledge is formed in each side of the box with the ledges of two opposed sides of the box located at one level below the lid and those of the other opposed sides at a different level below the lid. In use, the first and second pairs of legs can either be supported on either one or the other pair of opposed ledges to vary the height of the lid above ground level. Also, the lid can be removed from the box to define a stool or support surface.

By way of example, a user going to the beach or a camp site may carry most or all of their needed items, such as coolers, foodstuffs, and other goods, to the beach or camp site location, and then convert the hand truck to a seat where they may sit or rest without the need to bring an additional chair. The device may further collapse down into a compact form factor for ease of transportation.

When worn and located underneath the fallen person, the coveralls can be inflated with air into a chair, creating a higher platform from which the person can more easily get up. This reduces the dependence these individuals have on a care-giver. Users can fasten the coveralls using velcros, instead of buttons or zippers, because it is easier to wear and they automatically open from the increase in air pressure of the inflated coveralls. Made of light-weight and air impermeable material, the inflatable coveralls pads the fall of individuals, and elevated the fallen individual so that they can more easily rise, allowing them to gain independence.
