Heat exchanger with improved plugging resistance
A heat exchanger assembly includes a first heat exchange fluid conduit and at least one fin. The first heat exchange fluid conduit defines a passageway therethrough and is configured to receive a flow of a first heat exchange fluid. At least one fin is disposed to receive a flow of a second heat exchange fluid. The fin(s) is/are coupled to the heat exchange fluid conduit at an interface that is configured to reduce accumulation of debris entrained in the second heat exchange fluid.

HEAT EXCHANGE SYSTEM FOR FREEZING, TRANSFERRING, STORING, AND UTILIZING PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL AND APPLICATION OF THAT SYSTEM TO A THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM
A heat exchange system including an icephobic heat exchanger (IHEX) tank, a phase change material (PCM) held in the IHEX tank, an immiscible liquid layer held in the IHEX tank, a heat exchanger located within the immiscible liquid layer, and a distributor located above the heat exchanger configured to introduce a plurality of liquid PCM droplets into the immiscible liquid layer. The system further includes a transfer mechanism configured to remove PCM from the IHEX tank, and an external storage tank configured to receive the removed PCM. The immiscible liquid layer has a density lower than a density of both the solid and liquid PCM, and the PCM and the immiscible liquid layer meeting at a PCM-immiscible liquid interface.
Heat-exchange apparatus
A heat-exchange apparatus is provided, including a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, a third heat exchanger and a fourth heat exchanger. The first heat exchanger is thermally separated from the second heat exchanger. The third heat exchanger is thermally connected to the first heat exchanger. The fourth heat exchanger is thermally connected to the second heat exchanger, wherein a first air flow passes through the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger to be divided into a first divergent flow and a second divergent flow, the first divergent flow flows on a surface of the first heat exchanger, the second divergent flow flows on a surface of the second heat exchanger, the first divergent flow does not flow on the surface of the second heat exchanger, and the second divergent flow does not flow on the surface of the first heat exchanger.

Vapor chamber with support structure and manufacturing method therefor
A vapor chamber with a support structure and its manufacturing method are provided. The vapor chamber with the support structure includes a first plate, a second plate spaced apart from the first plate, and multiple support elements fixed between the first and second plates. On an outer surface of any of the first plate or the second plate, laser welding is performed on positions corresponding to the support elements so as to join the support elements to the first and second plates and to form weld ports on the outer surface of any of the plates. The invention solves the problem of fixing the support structure inside the thin vapor chamber, and therefore mass production can be realized.
Air transfer apparatus and evaporative cooler and system
An air transfer apparatus or enclosure having a heat exchanger attached to at least one side of the air transfer apparatus. The air transfer apparatus is an integral or a monolithic structure or enclosure where all internal cavities of the air transfer apparatus are formed from a single piece of material. The air transfer apparatus or enclosure includes a drain apparatus and a drain device. The drain apparatus includes a plurality of plates and the plurality of plates are positioned to make any collected fluid thereon collect in a sump of the air transfer apparatus.
METHOD FOR UTILIZING MULTIPLE SIMULTANEOUS INDEPENDENT SOURCES OF WATER IN A COOLING TOWER
A cooling tower system is disclosed. The cooling system includes a cooling tower; at least two make-up water inlet streams configured to supply water to the cooling tower; a blowdown stream configured to remove water from the cooling tower; at least one sensor monitoring water in each of the make-up water inlet streams; and a controller operably connected to the at least one sensor.
HEAT EXCHANGERS
A heat exchanger which may be used in an engine, such as a vehicle engine for an aircraft or orbital launch vehicle. is provided. The heat exchanger may be configured as generally drum-shaped with a multitude of spiral sections, each containing numerous small diameter tubes. The spiral sections may spiral inside one another. The heat exchanger may include a support structure with a plurality of mutually axially spaced hoop supports, and may incorporate an intermediate header. The heat exchanger may incorporate recycling of methanol or other antifreeze used to prevent blocking of the heat exchanger due to frost or ice formation.
