A holster accessory apparatus that is configures to modify existing holsters to allow for more comfortable carrying of a gun with an exposed grip. The accessory comprises two elements, a flexible material larger than the perimeter of a combination of a gun holster and an attaching element configures to affix the holster to the flexible material. A holster is disclosed specially adapted for a long weapon, the long weapon having a pistol grip and a magwell. The holster comprises two separate brackets, an upper bracket and a lower bracket, where both the upper and lower holster brackets are adapted to be supported by a tactical vest with moly webbing. The upper holster bracket is U-shaped and snaps over the pistol grip of the long weapon. A detent is located on the inner surfaces of the U-shaped bracket which engages a channel located on the faces of the pistol grip.

In another embodiment a post is attached to the holster that is adapted to engage a corresponding hole through the pistol grip of a weapon. The post has a spherical knob on the end opposite the holster wherein the knob snaps into a corresponding enlarged spherical section of the hole located through the pistol grip. A snap element including a spring biased button is embedded into the pistol grip wherein the snap element releasable engages the hemispherical bulb of the post.

A chest support sling for hands free transport with quick release of an elongated firearm or crossbow. In each instance, the sling includes a main strap adapted to being supported upon a shoulder of a wearer. The strap is connected at opposite ends to a pocket which is further adapted to be arranged to a side waist location of the wearer and to receive a butt end of the firearm or crossbow. A secondary support strap extends from the main strap and is adapted for engaging an extended location of the firearm or crossbow to maintain hands-free support when carried by the wearer.

A sling slider element has a frame defining an aperture, a rotor pivotally connected to the frame, the rotor received in the frame aperture, the frame and rotor configured to receive a strap, and the rotor movable with respect to the frame between a disengaged position in which the strap is free to slide with respect to the rotor and an engaged position in which the strap is engaged to the frame and rotor. The frame may include a pivot pin spanning the aperture. The frame aperture may be rectangular, and the rotor may be rectangular. The frame may be a planar body, and the rotor may have a planar body portion coplanar with the frame when in the engaged position. The rotor may have a handle element extending away from the planar body portion. The handle element may extend perpendicularly from the planar body portion.

A gun rest includes a cushioning body and a knee strapping system. The cushioning body has a top surface, a bottom surface, a retention channel indented on the top surface for supporting a firearm barrel thereat, and a barrel grip provided at the retention channel for preventing inadvertent movement of the firearm barrel along said retention channel. The knee strapping system is extended from the cushioning body for detachably coupling the cushioning body at a knee of an operator to serve as a knee guard. Therefore, the gun rest provides a multi-function of supporting the firearm in a ready position and quickly attaching to the knee of the operator without restricting any movement.

Mounting assembly used to secure an object in a desired location, and also allow for the quick and efficient relocation of the object to a new location is provided as a two-piece assembly comprising a clip and corresponding fastener. The fastener is coupled to an object (such as a gun holster), and the clip is provided at a desired location. The fastener and the clip can be releasably coupled together, providing a support for the object attached to the fastener. The mounting assembly can be decoupled by activating a pair of tabs configured on the fastener. The fastener and associated object (e.g., gun holster) can therefore be quickly and easily moved from a first location to a second location, such as from a belt attachment to a carrier or other device.
