Cable hose with embedded features
A cable hose suitable for welding or cutting systems includes one or more conductors and monolithic tubing that extends around and between the one or more conductors. The monolithic tubing defines one or more discrete passageways for the one or more conductors that provide a closed path from a first end of the cable hose to a second end of the cable hose for the one or more conductors. The monolithic tubing also defines an inner conduit configured to allow a gas to flow from the first end of the cable hose to the second end of the cable hose. The cable hose may be formed by arranging the one or more conductors in a specific configuration and overmolding an insulator onto the one or more conductors to secure the one or more conductors in a specific configuration.
MULTICORE CABLE
A multicore cable includes a plurality of power lines, and an outer jacket covering the plurality of power lines, the power lines include one first conductor disposed at a center, and a plurality of second conductors disposed on an outer periphery of the first conductor, that are twisted together, the first conductor includes 10 or more and 100 or less twisted first element wires, the second conductor includes 10 or more and 100 or less twisted second element wires, a direction of lay of the first element wires of the first conductor, a direction of lay of the second element wires of the second conductor, and a direction of lay of the first conductor and the second conductors of the power line are the same, and a length of lay of the first element wires and a length of lay of the second element wires are greater than or equal to 8 mm and less than or equal to 22 mm.
CAPACITIVE POWER TRANSMISSION CABLE
An object of the instant application is to provide a capacitive power transmission cable comprising at least two sets of conductive strands, the sets of strands being insulated from each other and in capacitive relationship, the one with the other; wherein the conductive strands are laid at least substantially in a multiples of six layer structure, with substantially equal numbers of strands of both sets; and wherein each layer has strands of one set alternating with strands of the other set and the strands of the respective sets have different contrasting color.
SHIELDED FLAT ELECTRICAL CONDUCTOR ASSEMBLY
The shielded electrical conductor assembly described herein includes an electrical conductor having a rectangular cross-section, a first insulative layer surrounding the electrical conductor, a conductive layer surrounding the first insulative layer, and a second insulative layer encasing the conductive layer.
Power cable for motor vehicles and a method for bending a power cable for motor vehicles
A motor vehicle power cable comprising a flat conductor having an at least rectangular profile, wherein the flat conductor extends along a longitudinal axis, a vertical axis extending along a surface normal of a wide surface of the flat conductor, and a transverse axis extending along a surface normal of a narrow surface of the flat conductor and the flat conductor is bent about the vertical axis and having an inner bend radius and an outer bend radius, characterized in that the flat conductor has at least one forming about the longitudinal axis in the region of the inner bending radius at its inner side edge arranged at the inner bending radius.
COMPOSITION FOR COATING AN OVERHEAD CONDUCTOR
A composition for coating an overhead conductor is disclosed comprising: (i) a reflective agent; (ii) a photocatalytic 0 agent comprising ≥70 wt % anatase titanium dioxide (TiO.sub.2) having an average particle size (“aps”)≤100 nm; (iii) a polyorganosiloxane binder; and (iv) a superhydrophobic agent comprising either: surface functionalised silica nanoparticles, a functional polysiloxane or a polymethylsilsesquioxane.
SEALED STRANDED GROUNDING WIRE ASSEMBLY
A sealed stranded wire assembly includes one or more stranded wires. The one or more stranded wires includes a solid portion formed on or attached to the length of the one or more stranded wires. The solid portion prevents liquid, dust, or other contaminants from traveling along the length of the one or more stranded wires through voids within the one or more stranded wires.
Cable for distributing network power and data
A power cable or a hybrid power-data cable includes power conductors and a plurality of continuity wires positioned radially outside of the power conductors. The continuity wires are positioned relative to the power conductors such that a cut in the cable will sever one of the plurality of continuity wires before a cut into the power conductors can occur.
Heat management systems for enclosures for power and optical fiber networks
A thermal management system for a power and fiber splice enclosure that includes a housing including electrical components is provided. The thermal management system includes a solar shield disposed external to the housing and covering at least a major portion of the housing. The thermal management system includes a vent disposed in the housing for venting hot air from the enclosure. The thermal management system includes a condenser thermally coupled to a heat conducting component of the enclosure for cooling at least the heat conducting component.
Opto-electric cable
Disclosed is an opto-electric cable including one or more electrical conductors. Each conductor includes an electrically conductive core and an electrically insulating layer surrounding it. The cable also includes an optical unit embedded within one of the electrically conductive cores. The optical unit includes at least two optical fibers and a single buffer jointly surrounding all the optical fibers. Each optical fiber includes a core, a cladding and a coating. Since all the optical fibers of the optical unit are jointly surrounded—and protected—by a single buffer, an optical unit with a reduced size is obtained. This allows reducing the cross section of the electrical conductor in which the optical unit is arranged. In particular, electrical conductors with cross section lower than 10 mm.sup.2 are obtained.
