System for automatically establishing a temporary electrical power connection
A system for automatically establishing a temporary electrical power connection comprises a first coupling member including a sealing ring surrounding a first electrical coupling means and a second coupling member including a sealing ring contact surface surrounding a second electrical coupling means. The sealing ring and the sealing ring contact surface are configured for being pressed together, whereby they seal off a vacuum chamber. A vacuum conduit is connected to the vacuum chamber for establishing therein a vacuum capable of firmly holding together both coupling members, thereby defining a mechanical coupling position. The first or second electrical coupling means include a surface electrode dimensioned for achieving a plurality of possible electrical coupling positions around a central electrical coupling position. The seal ring and seal ring contact surface are configured for achieving a sealed contact and thereby a mechanical coupling position in each of these possible electrical coupling positions.
Multipolar Connector
Connector comprising a base (1) of substantially cylindrical form and a plug (2), connectable to the base in a removable manner to the base (2), in which are disposed a plurality of contacts (3); the base (1) comprising a conducting face (4) on or in which is disposed at least one conducting track (5) forming at least one arc of a circle whose centre (6) is substantially coincident with the centre of the conducting face (4); said track (5) furthermore being disposed in such a way as to permit a mechanical electrical coupling with one of said contacts (3).
Slip ring assembly having a brush assembly axially applied to a conductive busbar ring
The disclosed invention is a slip ring assembly that provides electrical power transfer to centrifugal turbomachinery while minimizing or eliminating the presence of wires in the flow path. The device transfers electrical power through a set of wires connected to a plurality of brushes that are held rotationally stationary, but allowed to displace axially or radially through a set of springs. The brushes make contact with conductive busbar rings, transferring electricity to the busbar rings. The busbar rings rotate with the centrifugal turbomachine with a set of wires that connect the busbar rings to the blades or other aerodynamic surfaces of the centrifugal turbomachine.

Intermodulation-free electrical contact for HF applications
What is provided is an arrangement for electrically contacting electrically conductive elements, comprising a first element, at least a portion of which is electrically conductive, at least one second element, at least a portion of which is electrically conductive, for electrically contacting the first element, comprising a contact area in at least one end region thereof, the contact area having a radius at least at predefined contact points. The first electrically conductive element has at least one area that is designed to receive at least a portion of the contact area of the second electrically conductive element such that an electrical contact is created between the first electrically conductive element and the contact points of the second electrically conductive element. Furthermore, a corresponding first and second element is provided.
Apparatus for providing a rotatable coupling between audio cables
A rotatable coupling for audio cables is shown having a stator and a rotor divining an electrical rotary interface (301) for providing continuous connection between audio cables. A protective stator housing (304) retains the stator and a protective rotor housing (305) retains the rotor. A rolling-element bearing (306) with an inner race and an outer race allows the protective housings to axially rotate.

Electrical outlet having rotatable receptacles
An electrical outlet that is configured with rotating receptacles so as to facilitate the accommodation of large electrical plugs simultaneously. The electrical outlet includes a housing having a plurality of walls configured to form an interior volume. A first receptacle and a second receptacle are rotatably secured on the front wall of the housing. The first receptacle and the second receptacle include rotation rings having a plurality of notches circumferentially formed thereon. A plurality of keepers are present and are operable to engage the rotation rings. The first receptacle and the second receptacle include connection assembly that are configured to electrically couple the first receptacle and second receptacle to a conducting bar disposed at the rear of the housing. The connection assemblies include a union manufactured from copper.
Apparatuses and methods for reducing risk of binding between two connectors during decoupling of the two connectors
In an example, a first connector is associated with a first component and a second connector is attached to a cable that is subjected to a pulling force to effect decoupling, and an example apparatus for reducing risk of binding between the two connectors during decoupling of the two connectors includes a bracket that is rigidly affixed to the first component and that supports the first connector so as to enable the first connector to automatically align with the pulling force. An example method for reducing risk of binding between the two connectors during decoupling of the two connectors includes securing a bracket to the first component, and the bracket includes a pivot bracket. The method also includes aligning the first connector with the pulling force via one or more of translational or rotational movement of the pivot bracket.
