Motor
The current invention relates to a magnetic pole assembly, providing flux to an air gap, comprising one or more magnetic pole pieces and one or more sources of magnetic flux. Said one or more sources of magnetic flux lie adjacent to the axial faces and circumferential faces and one of the radially inner face or radially outer face of each magnetic pole piece. Thereby to allow flux created by said one or more sources of magnetic flux to enter the one or more magnetic pole pieces in order to focus the magnetic flux of said pole piece towards and out of the radial surface not having a source of magnetic flux adjacent thereto. Such an arrangement, increases the flux density in the air gap adjacent to said radial surface not having a source of magnetic flux adjacent thereto.

Electric motor and hermetic compressor having the same
A hermetic compressor includes an electric motor that includes a rotor having a plurality of permanent magnets inserted into a rotor core, a connection part made of a non-magnetic material and provided at an axial end portion of the rotor core, and an inertial core made of a magnetic material and provided at an axial end of the connection part. The connection part includes a plurality of first fixing portions, a plurality of second fixing portions spaced apart from the plurality of first fixing portions in an axial direction, and a plurality of link portions disposed between the plurality of first fixing portions and the plurality of second fixing portions.
Permanent magnet, motor, and generator
A method of manufacturing a permanent magnet comprises a solution heat treatment. The solution heat treatment includes: performing a heat treatment at a temperature T.sub.ST; placing a cooling member including a first layer and a second layer on the first layer between the heater and the treatment object so that the first layer faces the treatment object; and transferring the treatment object together with the cooling member to the outside of a heating chamber, and cooling the treatment object until a temperature of the treatment object becomes a temperature lower than a temperature T.sub.ST200 C. In the step of cooling the treatment object, a cooling rate until the temperature of the treatment object becomes the temperature T.sub.ST200 C. is 5 C./s or more.

Generators having rotors that provide alternate magnetic circuits
A generator includes a stator that has permanent magnets that complete a magnetic circuit across a series of gaps and through a generator coil. The rotor also includes permanent magnets that complete a magnetic circuit across a gap and through a rotor coil. When the rotor poles align with the stator poles, the stator and rotor magnetic circuits are broken, and new magnetic circuits are completed between the stator and rotor permanent magnets that cross the gap between the stator and rotor poles. A rotor coil can be used to boost the attraction/repulsion between to rotor and stator magnets. Alternating between these magnetic circuits as the prime mover rotates the rotor generates electricity.

Rotary electric machine having magnetic flux supplied from a field coil
A brushless winding field type rotary electric machine equipped with a stator, a field core having a field coil, and a rotor. The field coil is in parallel with the rotor in the rotary member rotation shaft axial direction. The rotor has first and second magnetic poles respectively having first and second annular sections and first and second pawl sections, and an annular-shaped rotor core having first and second fitting sections into which the first and second pawl sections are respectively fitted, the first and second fitting sections being provided alternately along the circumferential direction, and the rotor core having through hollow sections each disposed between the first and second fitting sections. The first magnetic pole and the second magnetic pole are fixed to the rotor core without making contact with each other and the rotor core is constituted by stacking electromagnetic steel sheets in the axial direction.
Electric machine with variable motor constants
An electrical machine includes a stator and a rotor rotatably mounted in the stator. A spindle is guided through the electrical machine. At least one magnetic flux-conductive assembly which can be introduced into the electrical machine is provided. The magnetic flux-conductive assembly is disposed on the spindle in a linearly displaceable manner in order to vary a motor constant of the electrical machine as a result of a displacement into the electrical machine.
