BACKLASH-AMOUNT MEASUREMENT APPARATUS, BACKLASH-AMOUNT MEASUREMENT METHOD AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A rotation control unit performs a rotation process of rotating a servomotor which is connected to a device via a power transmission means. A waveform-data acquisition unit performs a waveform-data acquisition process of acquiring waveform data when the servomotor is rotated. A determination unit performs a determination process of determining whether or not rotation has been transmitted to the device when the servomotor is rotated, based on the waveform data. A calculation unit ends a repetition process of repeating a search process, the search process being constituted by the rotation process, the waveform-data acquisition process, and the determination process, when it is determined that the rotation has been transmitted to the device, and calculates as a backlash amount, a sum of a rotation amount in the repetition process, the rotation amount being an amount by which the rotation control unit has rotated the servomotor in the rotation process.
Dynamic safe state control of electrical motor based on vehicle speed
A dynamic safe state control circuit is disclosed that controls an electrical motor based on vehicle speed. A microcontroller or other processing device is configured to control an inverter system of an electrical motor. The dynamic safe state control circuit is configured to receive a first signal that corresponds to a speed of the electric motor. The circuit is configured to activate any one of a plurality of safe states in the inverter system based on the first signal and in response to a malfunction in the microcontroller.
Pinch detection based on motor current increase
The pinch detector is suitable to detect a pinch at a closing member actuated by a motor equipped with a measuring circuit to measure a motor current. It includes a first portion that, when the motor starts closing the member, obtains a reference value of the motor current measured at the end of a blind time period having a predetermined duration from the moment the motor starts to close the member; a second portion that compares current values of the measured motor current to a threshold value depending on said reference value, during a detection time period, following the blind time period and preceding a steady state time period of the motor, in order to detect a pinch at the closing member based on a comparison result.

Energy conservation of a motor-driven digit
Routines and methods disclosed herein can increase a power efficiency of a prosthetic hand without drastically reducing the speed at which it operates. A prosthesis can implement an acceleration profile, which can reduce an energy consumption of a motor, or an amount of electrical and/or mechanical noise produced by a motor, as the motor transitions from an idle state to a non-idle state. A prosthesis can implement a deceleration profile, which can reduce the energy consumption of the motor, or an amount of electrical and/or mechanical noise produced by a motor, as the motor transitions from a non-idle state to an idle state.

ELECTRIC POWER STEERING DEVICE
A shortening of an initial diagnosis time is achieved, even after an elapse of a predetermined delay time from an ignition switch being switched to an off-state. After the ignition switch is switched to an off-state after an operation of a control device, which drives an electric motor that applies steering assistance force to a steering system, diagnosis of a power supply circuit that supplies power to the control device is carried out, and a diagnosis item to be implemented in a succeeding initial diagnosis is determined based on a result of the diagnosis.
