Systems and methods for efficient fogponic agriculture
11576310 · 2023-02-14 · ·

An integrated modular and scalable fogponics crop growth system for cultivating a crop includes an upper growth chamber housing a leafy portion of a crop, a lower growth chamber housing a root portion of the crop, a nutrient tank and dispenser, and an environmental system. The nutrient dispenser is coupled to the nutrient tank holding a nutrient mixture for sustaining the crop. The dispenser atomizes the nutrient mixture into a nutrient fog using a booster pump and a high pressure pump capable of generating approximately 800 PSI to 1500 PSI. The high pressure pump is operatively coupled to a nozzle configured to dispense the atomized nutrient fog, substantially between 6 microns and 15 microns droplet size, into the lower growth chamber. Temperature and humidity are separately controlled in the leaf area.

A system (100), method and computer program product for optimization of crop protection. A generator module (120) accesses one or more configuration data structures (220) wherein the one or more configuration data structures include data fields to store crop data (221), advice data (222) related to respective crop data, and crop protection product data (223) related to respective advice. Further, it accesses a plurality of code snippets (230) wherein each code snippet (231, 232, 233) has a condition which relates either to at least one property field of the one or more data structures (220) or to a result of another code snippet, and further includes generic program logic associated with the condition, and wherein each property field is used in the condition of at least one code snippet. The plurality of code snippets is applied to the one or more configuration data structures to generate an advice logic program.

Cannabis Growing Apparatus
20230225263 · 2023-07-20 ·

An improved apparatus for growing cannabis indoors with an improved vertical lighting system, raised horizontally disposed planters and vertical plant training wires. The cannabis plants are grown in horizontally disposed planters that are installed at a set raised height for easy access. A series of horizontally strung plant training wires are installed vertically above each row of plants. The lighting system is mounted to a powered vertical hanging system such that it can easily be raised and lowered into the space between the rows of plants

In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the planter rows are mounted on bearings such that they can be adjusted along the horizontal (x) axis. This allows for denser plant arrangement while still allowing for easy access between rows for plant training and maintenance.

Tidal creator for a terminal lake and method of using the same for restoration efforts at the Salton Sea
11702809 · 2023-07-18 ·

This invention is a device for creating tidal action in a terminal lake. A first aspect involves staggering of input and output from the terminal lake, such that the level of the lake rises and falls on a daily basis to simulate tidal action. A second aspect involves the creation of a berm and islands, with a system of pumps and drains filling and emptying a series of holding ponds, creating an even greater “reach” of the tidal action. This tidal action allows for the growth of mangrove forests, which prevent land-based predators such as coyotes from accessing bird nests on the islands, as well as keeping the “playa” wet enough so that local wind does not pick up playa sediment and create toxic dust storms. The toxic upper 3″ of the “playa” is bulldozed to create the berm, islands, and access roads which bisect the newly-created intertidal zone.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND METHODOLOGY FOR PRODUCING CANNABIS
20230014726 · 2023-01-19 ·

A production plan for producing cannabis in a facility comprising a building module comprising five growth chambers of substantially equal size and a GMP processing area comprises a system of concurrent cyclic processes (SCCPs) for carrying out cannabis processing steps of hardening; growth, wet hanging, in-process quality control, transfer to GMP drying; in-process quality control; trimming; curing, and grading/packing. The SCCPs is based upon a minimum cycle time (MCT) defined as MCT=FP/5, where FP is a flowering period for a selected cannabis species, and 5 is the number of growth chambers in which the cannabis species will be grown. A cannabis production facility comprises a building module having five growth chambers of substantially equal size, a GMP processing area and a production plan. A method is provided for designing a cannabis production facility for assessing the feasibility thereof at a concept stage.
