A fishhook including a shank, an eye attached to the shank, a bend attached to the shank and terminating in a point. The fishhook further including a core of a dissolvable material, and at least one coating or layer on the core. The at least one coating is dissolvable in water, saltwater, or the stomach acid of an animal. A fishing line includes a line composed of a dissolvable material, and a coating coated on said line composed of a dissolvable material.

FISHING TACKLE
A fishing tackle comprising a hook with a protruding portion disposed on a shank of the hook and an artificial bait over-molded on the hook and protruding portion. The protruding portion includes a plurality of ridges disposed along a first section and second section. The ridges disposed along the first section are angled towards the proximal end of the hook, and the ridges disposed along the second portion are angled towards the distal end of the hook.
Double Jig Hook
The present invention relates to a double jig hook that features linear shank(s), two barbed bends, an eyelet, and a jig head. The two bends are positioned at one end of the hook for catching the top and bottom parts of a fish's lip to maximize securement and success rates when hooking fish. The bends includes barbs at their terminal ends and extend in opposing directions. Further, at the other end of the hook, an eyelet is connected at an angle of 90, 45, or 30 degrees relative to the shank(s) wherein the other end of the hook also includes the jig head for attaching a lure or jig thereto. The hook or jig can be made from a single barbed wire or can be made using two wires that are connected to form a pair of shank portions and a pair of bend portions.
