METHOD FOR PRODUCING A HORSESHOE
Disclosed is a method for producing a horseshoe, wherein the following steps are carried out: a) at least partially viewing the hoof (16) to be shod in order to determine the required measurements for producing a shoe that fits the hoof, b) processing the measurements in order to deduce a provisional shape of the horseshoe, c) recording definitive parameters of the horseshoe, and d) producing the horseshoe on the basis of the definitive parameters. Before step b), the potential existence of at least one area of inflammation and/or at least one area of reduced blood circulation of the foot of the horse, of which the hoof is to receive the shoe, is determined by an infrared detector (17), and in step b), the existence of at least one such area is taken into account in order to determine the provisional shape and/or the structure of the horseshoe.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A HORSESHOE, AND HORSESHOE
Disclosed is a method for producing a customized horseshoe (10), the shoe being designed to fit the form of a hoof of a specific horse for which it has been produced, the shoe including a metal part (14) which is at least partially visible. At least a portion of the outer surface of the metal part is treated in order to color same, the treatment including an anodization step and a coloring step, or the application of a decorative coating.

REMOVABLE HORSE SHOE
A shoe is for a hoof of an animal. The shoe has a sole for being mounted to an underside of the hoof of the animal. The shoe comprises at least two fixation areas for fixing the shoe to the hoof in operational use, wherein the fixation areas are located on opposite sides of the hoof, each fixation area comprising at least one protruding element, which penetrates, in operational use, into the hoof for fixing a position of the fixation area relative to the hoof. Each fixation area is connected with the sole by at least one elastic connection. The shoe can comprise an elastic clipping element for applying by an internal pretension force in the elastic clipping element, in operational use, an inwardly-directed pressure on the fixation areas for pressing the protruding elements into the hoof. A mounting tool is configured for applying the elastic clipping element to the shoe.
SHOEING MADE OF A FIBER-PLASTIC COMPOSITE, IN PARTICULAR FOR HORSES OR RACEHORSES
A U-shaped shoeing for horses comprises a running surface and a hoof contact surface has reinforcing layers embedded in a plastic matrix. The reinforcing layers longitudinally extend and follow the U-shaped curvature of the shoeing. Reinforcing layers extend transversally to their longitudinal extension from the running surface towards the hoof contact surface. Reinforcing layers are arranged on the hoof contact surface side, parallel to the hoof contact surface, parallel to the hoof contact surface, or parallel to the hoof contact surface and penetrate in the matrix as far as below the hoof contact surface or form the hoof contact surface. The reinforcing layers may be in the form of textile tube structures produced from fiber strands containing a multiplicity of fibers. The invention also relates to a production method for such a shoeing.

SANDWICHED INVERTED HORSESHOE AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A horseshoe having a front end and a back end includes a base plate having a first stiffness, an intermediate layer having a second stiffness, the second stiffness being less than the first stiffness, the intermediate plate being disposed adjacent the base plate, a top plate disposed adjacent the intermediate layer and a heel wedge capable of articulating relative to the base plate.

MULTI-ZONE HORSESHOE PAD
A multi-zone horseshoe pad that provides hybrid performance characteristics, with discrete performance characteristics provided during discrete phases or different types of interactions between a hoof and the ground. The multi-zone horseshoe pad is substantially flexible while also providing shock absorption, protection, and support. The multi-zone horseshoe pad may include a pad body with different segments that have different hardness values. A relatively softer material may be provided toward a back segment of the pad body for shock absorption and vibration damping during impacts between the horseshoe and hoof at the pad's back segment. A relatively harder material may be provided toward a front segment of the pad body for minimizing energy loss through compression during push off events at the pad's front segment. A central segment of the multi-zone horseshoe pad may be both thicker and more flexible than an outer rim segment.
EQUINE HOOF BOOT, STRAP AND TENSIONER THEREFOR
An equine boot comprising: a sole for receiving a bottom of a horse’s hoof; an upper which, in use, receives at least a portion of a wall of the hoof; and a retention means at a rear of the boot which, in use, is generally proximate a cleft of the hoof, the retention means being configured for engagement with a securing strap, which strap is securable to the boot and hoof for retaining the boot thereto.
