The retaining component is connected to the functional component, at least one of the functional component and the retaining component passes through a shell-like dental appliance, the functional component is retained on the shell-like dental appliance, and the functional component is provided on an outer surface of the shell-like dental appliance. The auxiliary orthodontic device for a shell-like dental appliance provided by the present application enables a shell-like dental appliance and an auxiliary device to be assembled together easily and stably, and a corresponding auxiliary device can be selected and used based on orthodontic requirements, thereby achieving a corresponding orthodontic function.

Removable dental appliance including positioning member

A removable dental appliance may include an appliance body configured to at least partially surround a plurality of teeth. The appliance body may include a unitary material defining a shell shaped to receive at least one tooth of the patient; a spring member integrally formed with the shell; and a positioning member integrally formed with the shell. The spring member may be configured to receive an attachment affixed to the at least one tooth. The spring member may be configured to apply a spring force to the attachment to cause movement of the at least one tooth toward a desired position when the removable dental appliance is worn by the patient. The positioning member may be configured to facilitate engagement of the spring member with the attachment in response to a positioning force being applied to the positioning member.

Orthodontic appliance configuration

A system and method for orthodontic appliance configuration are provided. A method includes obtaining a force value which approximates a target orthodontic force value having been determined based on patient data and PDL behavior data associated with the patient data. The patient data includes patient treatment data and patient characteristic data, the patient treatment data at least including one or both of a tooth type indicator and a tooth position indicator associated with a tooth of a patient to be treated and a treatment movement value which describes the required tooth movement to effect treatment of the tooth. The force value is used to determine configuration parameters for configuring an orthodontic appliance to apply the force value to the tooth of the patient. The configuration parameters are output.

AUTOMATED DENTAL DRILL

An automated dental drill includes a dental drill housing that includes a mouthpiece housing section and a one or more degrees of freedom drive housing section; an end effector drive support having a shaft section that is at least partially positioned in the mouth piece housing section, and an end effector for the cutting of a native tooth or dental appliance to a desired tolerance. The end effector is positioned on the end effector drive support. The automated dental drill also includes a power source that drives the end effector and is coupled to the end effector and a one or more degrees of freedom drive assembly to direct the end effector along one or more degrees of freedom relative to the mouth piece housing section.

The improved dental milling disc device is an apparatus that includes an innovative configuration of a dental milling disc and a gasket, designed to eliminate the risks of cracking and damage due to the vibration of manufacturing machines. To accomplish this, the apparatus includes at least one gasket attached perimetrically around opposing edges of the disc. Accordingly, the dental milling disc device allows the machine holder to be properly tightened to hold the disc in place while significantly reducing the risk of cracking the disc. Furthermore, the apparatus reduces the potential for the disc to rotate in the holder or move due to vibration as the gasket of the device better secures the disc in place and dampens vibrations. Additionally, the dampening effect of the apparatus helps increase the tool life. Thus, the apparatus enables an efficient and cost-effective utilization of the milling disc.
