ELECTRIC RESISTANCE WELDED STEEL PIPE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A resistance welded steel pipe is provided. A hot-rolled steel sheet having a composition containing, in mass %, C: 0.025 to 0.168%, Si: 0.10 to 0.30%, Mn: 0.60 to 1.90%, and one or at least two selected from Ca, Nb, V, and Ti such that Pcm is 0.20 or less is subjected to continuous cold roll forming to obtain a pipe-shaped body. Tapered grooves are formed in the steel sheet such that the ratio of the tapered portions to the wall thickness of the steel sheet is 10 to 80%. Then end surfaces of the pipe-shaped body are butted against each other and subjected to electric resistance welding. Ultrasonic waves are transmitted toward the electric resistance weld surface such that a beam width is within the range of 0.1 to 4.0 mm, and the reflected waves are used for ultrasonic flaw detection using an ultrasonic flaw detector.

METHOD OF QUENCHING STEEL PIPE, APPARATUS FOR QUENCHING STEEL PIPE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING STEEL PIPE AND FACILITY FOR MANUFACTURING STEEL PIPE
A method quenches a steel pipe and an apparatus quenches a steel pipe by which a steel pipe having excellent and uniform quality can be acquired by applying uniform rapid cooling to the steel pipe in a longitudinal direction as well as in a circumferential direction of the steel pipe using a simple unit. Movements of a heated steel pipe in a direction parallel to and in a direction perpendicular to a pipe axis of the steel pipe are stopped, and cooling water is jetted onto an outer surface of the steel pipe from four or more spray nozzles arranged spirally outside the steel pipe while rotating the steel pipe about the pipe axis.

The skew rolling apparatus includes a skew pierce rolling mill configured to pierce roll a steel material into a seamless pipe shell, and a skew outside-diameter mill following the skew piercing mill in a pass direction of the seamless pipe shell in the skew rolling apparatus. The skew rolling apparatus satisfies specified formulae.
Deoxidation of cross-rolled hollow blocks
The invention relates to a method for producing a tube (2) or tubular pre-product from a solid billet in a rolling mill, comprising at least one roll (5a, 5b) acting from the outside on the solid billet or tubular pre-product and a mandrel (4) carrying a piercing head (3) and engaging from the inside in the tube or tubular pre-product, wherein immediately after the solid billet has been completely pierced by the piercing head a fluidized deoxidation agent and/or an inert gas is supplied to the end of the tube or tubular pre-product facing the roll and is guided through the tube or tubular pre-product into the interior of the tube or tubular pre-product when the mandrel is withdrawn. The invention further relates to a rolling mill for performing the method according to the invention, comprising at least one roll acting from the outside onto the solid billet or tubular pre-product and a mandrel carrying a piercing head and engaging from the inside in the tube or tubular pre-product, wherein a device is provided for feeding and introducing a fluidized deoxidation agent and/or an inert gas to the end of the tube or tubular pre-product facing the at least one roll.
