INTERCHANGABLE FLUID JET TOOL, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR USING
The disclosure identifies an apparatus, system of and method for using an interchangeable fluid jet tool, the tool in at least one embodiment being a waterjet tool device that may be interchangeably integrated with a machine having any form of reciprocating or rotating pump (which may be used as a coolant or cutting fluid pump), and coupled with a motor powered rotatory drive machine, such as a spindle, having any type of tool interchange attachment and tool holders (some industry examples being CAT Taper, HSK, BT, R8, Jacobs, or other type, including specific configurations to attach to heavy mobile construction or demolition equipment for the purposes of mining, cutting stone blocks, slabs, and other shapes, or boring tunnels or passages, in stone or other hard compacted material).
Recirculation of wet abrasive material in abrasive waterjet systems and related technology
An abrasive waterjet system in accordance with an embodiment of the present technology includes a cutting head, a catcher downstream from the cutting head, and a conveyance configured to carry slurry including abrasive material and liquid collected from the catcher toward the cutting head. The cutting head includes a jet-forming orifice and a mixing chamber downstream from the jet-forming orifice. The cutting head also includes a slurry inlet through which the mixing chamber receives slurry including abrasive material and liquid collected from the catcher. The abrasive waterjet system can be configured for substantially closed-loop recycling of wet abrasive material. This can be useful, for example, to increase abrasive material utilization efficiency and to decrease abrasive material disposal costs. These and/or other benefits may be realized both in the context of low pressure abrasive waterjet systems and in the context of high pressure abrasive waterjet systems.

Method of performing a cleaning operation using a water jet device
A system and method for cleaning of heat exchanger tubes including an assembly, an indexer, and a communication device provided with specialized software and programming. The indexer includes orthogonally arranged first and second arms. A trolley and sensors are provided on the indexer arms. One or more lances are provided on the trolley to deliver water jets into the openings. Sensors measure displacement as the trolley is moved relative to the heat exchanger's face plate. An operator controls the system from a distance away using the communication device. During setup, the pattern of the face plate is learned and mapped utilizing information from the sensors as one of the inputs. This information is utilized to help navigate the face plate during a subsequent cleaning operation. A kit for retrofitting existing X-Y indexers is also disclosed.
DIFFUSER SYSTEM FOR ABRASIVE BLASTER
A shutdown system for a media blast system includes a normally closed diverter path which remains closed to air flow during operation of the blast system. During shutdown, the air flow to the metering valve is shut off, shutting off the system. At the same time, the diverter path is opened, relieving pressure in the supply line by permitting pressurized air and abrasive in the supply line to back flow through the diverter from which it is exhausted, almost instantaneously shutting off flow through the nozzle. A diffuser system is included for receiving and exhausting residual abrasive media and for reducing the noise level of the exhausted air.
Wet blasting machines
A wet blast machine for cleaning or preparing surfaces comprises: a treatment source for providing a pressurised mixture of treatment material; a nozzle, the nozzle comprising: an inlet for receiving the pressurised mixture of treatment material; an outlet for ejecting the pressurised mixture; and at least one hole in a wall of the nozzle, the hole for feeding one or more products into the nozzle such that one or more surfaces of the product are exposed to the treatment material whilst within the nozzle, allowing for a more efficient wet blast of the products.
Dry to wet abrasive blast machine conversion kit and method
A dry to wet abrasive blast machine conversion kit and method usable to convert an existing blast pot configured for sand blasting for use in wet abrasive air blasting includes a multi-function fluid manifold, and a control panel attachable to the blast pot to effectuate a first hydraulic circuit, a second hydraulic circuit, and a pneumatic circuit. The dry to wet abrasive blast machine conversion kit installs to the existing blast pot as is, and therefore enables conversion for wet abrasive blasting without additional penetrations through the blast pot envelope which might otherwise compromise manufacturer warranty and use ratings.
METHOD OF COMMINUTING PARTICLES
A method of comminuting the size of particles of frangible blast media from each particle's respective initial size to a size smaller than a desired maximum size includes directing a flow of entrained particles toward a gap, at a first location splitting the flow into at least a first and second flow, the particles are entrained in the first flow, the first flow travels through the gap and substantially no particles are entrained in the second flow, and rejoining the second flow with the first flow at a second location downstream of and proximal to the gap.
ADJUSTABLE ABRASIVE AND DUST SEPARATOR
Provided is a centrifuge media separator for separating blast particulate from fine particulate carried by air flowing from a blast cabinet and through the media separator. The centrifuge media separator comprises an upper panel, a lower panel, and an outer wall. The upper panel has a central opening formed therein. The outer wall is configured in a truncated logarithmic shape and which extends between the upper and lower panels. The outer wall has at least one particulate escape aperture formed therein. The upper panel, lower panel and outer wall collectively define a curvilinear air passageway having an inlet and an outlet. An air foil extends from the outer wall in to the air passageway. The distance than the air foil extends in to the air passageway is adjustable. The inlet is configured to allow a flow of air to enter the air passageway and circulate therethrough toward the outlet. The escape aperture is configured to exhaust the blast particulate out of the passageway. The central opening is configured to exhaust the fine particulate out of the passageway.
WATERJET CUTTING APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS
Waterjet cutting apparatus and related methods are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes a tank defining a volume to contain a fluid therein, a fixture extending from the tank, and a tube extending from the tank, the tube to isolate the fixture and a part supported by the fixture from turbulence of the fluid disposed in the tank.
