The present embodiments provide an apparatus for producing a pressure vessel blank, comprising at least one connection element, a multi-part blow-moulding tool, and at least one blowing pin. The present embodiments further provide a pressure vessel comprising at least one connection element, a pressure vessel blank, and a supporting shell connected to and supporting the pressure vessel blank. An aspect of the present embodiments provides a process for producing a pressure vessel blank using an apparatus comprising at least one connection element that enables a shortened time for producing a pressure vessel blank with increased stability under pressure.
Heater Assembly
A method of fabricating a thin film heater includes providing a heating element supported on a surface of a flexible dielectric backing film; and attaching a layer of heat shrink film onto the surface of the dielectric backing film so as to at least partially enclose the heating element between the heat shrink film and the dielectric backing film. The method provides a much more precise and consistent method of assembling the heater assembly and improves the thermal properties and heat transfer to a heating chamber.

Method for producing a vehicle component from a fiber-reinforced plastic
A method for producing a vehicle component from a fiber-reinforced plastic including providing a skin panel having an inner side, outer side and mounting portion. The skin panel is a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic material. At least one stiffening component has a connection surface. The stiffening component is a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic material. The stiffening component and skin panel are contacted wherein the connection surface lies on the mounting portion. The method includes areally warming a joining zone so the stiffening component and skin panel are welded together. The joining zone is cooled. A determined geometry of the combination of stiffening component and skin panel is compared with a predefinable geometry. The joining zone is re-warmed, deforming the stiffening component and the skin panel, and the method includes cooling in order to attain the predefinable geometry if the determined geometry deviates from the predefinable geometry.
Production of complex hollow foam or sandwich structures by means of a mold core
The invention relates to a process for producing complex, mould-foamed rigid foam materials, more particularly of poly(meth)acrylimide (P(M)I) cores, preferably of polymethacrylimide (PMI) cores, which may be employed, for example, in carmaking or aircraft construction. A feature of the process is that through use of a particulate core during foam, it is possible to achieve an additional weight saving relative to foam materials or sandwich materials of the prior art.
