A printing device for printing substrates, such as circuit boards, wafers, or solar cells, has at least one movably mounted printing unit with a working surface on which the substrate to be printed can be placed. The printing unit is paired with a transport belt device, which has a supply roller with a transport belt wound thereon, a collection roller for winding up the transport belt, and two deflecting surfaces, in particular deflecting rollers, which are paired with the working surface. The transport belt is guided by the supply roller over one deflecting surface and onto the working surface in order to form a contact surface for the substrates, and by the working surface over the other deflecting surface to the collection roller. The deflecting surfaces can be moved together with the respective printing unit. The supply and collection rollers are held on the printing device in a stationary manner.

A doctor blade system of a printing machine comprises a doctor blade (12), a blade support (14) and a clamping element (16), wherein the doctor blade (12) is arranged at a contact surface (24) on a front side (20) of the blade support (14) and pressed against the contact surface (24) by a pressing area (34) of the clamping element (16). The clamping element (16) has a bearing surface (40) arranged at a backside (27) of the blade support (14).

A transport device includes a transport belt having a support surface configured to support a medium, and configured to transport the medium supported by the support surface, a cleaning roller including an absorbent member configured to absorb cleaning liquid, and configured to clean the support surface as the absorbent member comes into contact with the support surface, a supply unit configured to supply the cleaning liquid to the cleaning roller, and a spray unit configured to spray gas to the support surface cleaned by the cleaning roller. The spray unit is configured to spray the gas to the cleaning roller.

The cleaning device (20) for cleaning a cylindrical roller (50), for example an anilox roller of a printing machine, includes a cleaning head (30) with a cleaning chamber (110), in which there is housed a mechanical cleaning member (60), and with which there are associated feeding members (70) for feeding a cleaning liquid into the cleaning chamber (110). The mechanical member (60) and cleaning liquid dispensed by the feeding members work in combination inside said cleaning chamber (110) to clean the lateral surface of the roller (50).

The cleaning device (20) for cleaning a cylindrical roller (50), for example an anilox roller of a printing machine, includes a cleaning head (30) with a cleaning chamber (110), in which there is housed a mechanical cleaning member (60), and with which there are associated feeding members (70) for feeding a cleaning liquid into the cleaning chamber (110). The mechanical member (60) and cleaning liquid dispensed by the feeding members work in combination inside said cleaning chamber (110) to clean the lateral surface of the roller (50).

Disclosed is a corrugated paperboard printer comprising a pressing device for applying a pressing force to press a chamber which reserves ink toward an anilox roll. The pressing device is configured to apply a first pressing force, and a second pressing force which is greater than the first pressing force, respectively, to a first pressing area and a second pressing area in a back surface of a chamber frame. In a state in which no pressing force is applied by the pressing device, bending occurring in the chamber frame due to a load transmitted from a printing roll to the chamber frame via the anilox roll as printing is performed to a corrugated paperboard sheet is greater in the second pressing area than in the first pressing area.

A printing device includes a cleaning head configured to contact a cleaning member with the screen mask to perform a cleaning process on the screen mask, a moving section connectable and disconnectable to the cleaning head to move the cleaning head between a cleaning area and a standby area, a door member configured to open and close an opening portion through which the cleaning member passes when the cleaning member is moved from the standby area to an outside of the printing device and be lockable in a closed state, and a control section configured to unlock the door member in a state where the moving section is disconnected to the cleaning head and the cleaning head is located in the standby area.

A printing machine (10) comprises a doctor blade (14), a drive system (20) for urging the doctor blade (14) against a printing cylinder (16) of the printing machine (10), a sensor (32) adapted for sensing a force with which the doctor blade (14) is urged against the printing cylinder (16), and a mechanical locking element (34) adapted for locking the drive system (20) in its operating position.

Further, a method of operating a printing machine (10) is presented.

A method of cleaning a converter, the method including the steps of: providing a heating unit for heating a cleaning fluid; providing a ring main for continuous circulation of heated cleaning fluid around the ring main; connecting the heating unit to the ring main; connecting the ring main to the converter to enable delivery of heated cleaning fluid to the converter; and providing a controllable cleaning fluid valve for delivery of a heated cleaning fluid, and providing a controllable rinsing fluid valve for delivery of a rinsing fluid; providing a controller for controlled delivery of a sequence of the rinsing fluid and the heated cleaning fluid to the converter upon recognition of a rinsing fluid delivery condition and a heated cleaning fluid delivery condition, respectively.

A method of cleaning a converter, the method including the steps of: providing a heating unit for heating a cleaning fluid; providing a ring main for continuous circulation of heated cleaning fluid around the ring main; connecting the heating unit to the ring main; connecting the ring main to the converter to enable delivery of heated cleaning fluid to the converter; and providing a controllable cleaning fluid valve for delivery of a heated cleaning fluid, and providing a controllable rinsing fluid valve for delivery of a rinsing fluid; providing a controller for controlled delivery of a sequence of the rinsing fluid and the heated cleaning fluid to the converter upon recognition of a rinsing fluid delivery condition and a heated cleaning fluid delivery condition, respectively.
