FERMENTATION PROCESS
The present invention is related to sustainable fermentation processes with increased efficiency and less environmental impact. Particularly, the present invention is related to a process wherein in one fermentation process two or more fermentation products can be produced and isolated, i.e. a “primary” fermentation product and a “secondary” fermentation product, particularly wherein one is a water soluble organic compound and one is a fat-soluble organic compound particularly a fat-soluble vitamin, preferably vitamin K2.

METHOD OF REMOVING DNA FROM BIOTECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to a method for degrading DNA in a sample obtained by microbial fermentation or bio-transformation, comprising treating the sample with a combination of increased temperature and low pH. It also relates to a method for releasing DNA from a microbial cell, comprising incubating the microbial cell at a temperature of 45° C. to 55° C. for two to ten hours. Finally, the present invention provides a method for producing a product, comprising a step of releasing DNA from a microbial cell and degrading said DNA.
Solventless extraction process
The present invention provides a method for extracting lipids from microorganisms without using organic solvent as an extraction solvent. In particular, the present invention provides a method for extracting lipids from microorganisms by lysing cells and removing water soluble compound and/or materials by washing the lysed cell mixtures with aqueous washing solutions until a substantially non-emulsified lipid is obtained.

IMPROVED PRODUCTION OF RIBOFLAVIN
The present invention is related to an improved process for production of vitamin B2 using a genetically engineered host cell comprising a heterologous enzyme with pyridoxal phosphatase activity. Using said modified host cell, the yield of riboflavin production could be increased by at least about 5%.
Directed Evolution of a Mutualistic Community of Organisms for the Production of a Nutrient or a Nutraceutical
The present invention relates to a method of production of a nutrient or a nutraceutical compound, a method for the generation of an improved nutrient-producing or nutraceutical compound-producing organism or community of organisms, and nutrient-producing or nutraceutical compound-producing organisms or communities of organisms.
