A portable apparatus for washing and drying clothes, and a method of manufacturing said apparatus, are described. In one aspect an apparatus includes a washing unit and a drying unit. The washing unit includes a washing compartment configured to be collapsible, a water tube connected from a top washer end to a bottom washer end of the washing unit, a water hose extending from a side wall of the washing unit, and a wringer coupled to an end of the washing compartment. The drying unit includes a drying compartment, a power compartment, a fan assembly at the top dryer end and coupled to the drying compartment, a heating assembly, and an air vent. In one aspect the drying unit is coupled to the washing unit.

A cleaning cavity and a drying cavity are sequentially set in the inner cavity of the machine housing from bottom to top; a walking mechanism with a scrubbing device is set on the side wall; a drying device is uniformly set at intervals on the cavity wall of the drying cavity; the lifting device is set at the top of the drying cavity, and the end of the rope of the lifting device is connected to a clothes hanging member. The operation of the present invention is convenient and the manufacturing cost is low. By means of the cooperation of the lifting-type hanging member and the cleaning device, clothes can become tidy and avoid being screwed into a mass in the washing process.

A foot-peddle assembly is coupled to the gear assembly. This is done in such a way that the foot-peddle assembly, in use, urges a rotatable reciprocating movement of the gear assembly, the rotatable shaft and the washing-basket assembly.

A washing machine includes a washing-basket assembly including a rotatable shaft configured to be rotatably supported. A gear assembly is configured to engage with the rotatable shaft. A foot-peddle assembly is coupled to the gear assembly. This is done in such a way that the foot-peddle assembly, in use, urges a rotatable reciprocating movement of the gear assembly, the rotatable shaft and the washing-basket assembly.

A vibration squeeze drum washing machine includes a housing, a barrel, a drum, a machine door, a vibration squeeze device, a turnover mechanism, a mechanical vibrator, a position sensor, a drum motor, a drive device, a water intake valve, a drainage valve, and a control system. The vibration squeeze device is disposed on an inner side of the machine door and is connected to the machine door via the turnover mechanism.

A vibration squeeze drum washing machine includes a housing, a barrel, a drum, a machine door, a vibration squeeze device, a turnover mechanism, a mechanical vibrator, a position sensor, a drum motor, a drive device, a water intake valve, a drainage valve, and a control system. The vibration squeeze device is disposed on an inner side of the machine door and is connected to the machine door via the turnover mechanism.

A portable washing unit, which is capable of automatically carrying out various types of washing treatments respectively. A portable washing unit is provided with a driving unit, which is configured to be drivable in a state where an accessory at least capable of executing a washing treatment and serving as a washing mechanism is connected, and is attachable and detachable for various accessories capable of performing washing-related treatments.
