SAFETY APPARATUS FOR PROTECTING AN OPERATOR OF AN ELECTRICALLY POWERED SAW
There is provided an emergency braking apparatus for stopping travel of the blade of an electrically powered saw of the type incorporating a cutting table through which the blade of the saw passes during a cutting operation. The apparatus comprises a braking jaw and a movable jaw spaced apart from the braking jaw for reception of the blade of the saw between the braking jaw and the movable jaw. The apparatus also comprises a driver for driving the movable jaw from a retracted position into contact with a side face of the blade to force an opposite side the blade against the braking jaw and thereby clamp the blade between the braking jaw and the movable jaw, a pressure chamber for holding a fluid at a predetermined pressure, and an actuator operable in response to an emergency braking signal to release the pressurised fluid in the pressure chamber to drive the driver against the movable jaw whereby the movable jaw is driven into contact with the side face of the blade.
APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING SHEET-METAL WORKPIECES
Apparatus for processing a sheet-metal workpiece includes a press tool including a bottom die and top die. A press includes a platen which receives the bottom die, and a ram which receives the top die. The press tool is protected by a protective system which detects an idle stroke and includes an adjustable spacer assembly to prevent collision between the top and bottom dies.
PROTECTING APPARATUS FOR APPLIANCE SUPPORTED BY TRIPOD
A protection apparatus for an appliance supported by a tripod, the protection apparatus including: a tilt sensor, for alerting upon tilting of the tripod; and an airbag inflated upon the alerting for protecting the appliance. The airbag is shaped to comprise at least one of three protrusions, projected outward upon airbag inflation, each protrusion being directed in one of the common tilting directions perpendicular to and towards an imaginary line between feet of two tripod legs.

MOBILE RESCUE DEVICE AS WELL AS COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR THEFT PROTECTION OF THE MOBILE RESCUE DEVICE
A mobile rescue device, in particular a spreading device, includes a cutting device, or a combined device having a spreading and a cutting function, including a base body and a working device arranged at the base body. At the mobile rescue device, a deactivation device is formed for deactivating the working device in the event of theft.
