The supporting beam arrangement comprises two horizontal first supporting beams (18) that are parallel and on two opposite sides of the flue gas duct (10) and separated by a distance from the flue gas duct, and further are connected to the support frame (16). The supporting beam arrangement (14) comprises a horizontal second supporting beam (20) defining two opposite ends (22) that are supported to the first supporting beams (18), the second supporting beam extending through the flue gas duct (10) that is supported to the second supporting beam. At least one or each one of the first supporting beams comprises an opening (24), in which opening one of the two opposite ends (22) of the second supporting beam is placed to rest on the first supporting beam (18). A power boiler (50) comprises the supporting beam arrangement (14), the flue gas duct (10) and the support frame (16).
Oxy-combustion process with modular boiler design
A modular boiler system for implementing fuel combustion is provided. The system includes a first boiler and a second boiler of a plurality of boilers, an oxygen input unit, a fuel input unit, a recycled flue gas input unit, and a flue gas separator. The first boiler receives oxygen from the oxygen input unit, fuel from the fuel input unit, and recycled flue gas from the recycled flue gas input unit. The first boiler outputs intra-system flue gas. The flue gas separator separates the intra-system flue gas into a first and second flue gas stream, transfers the first flue gas stream to the second boiler, and transfers the second flue gas stream to a gas cleaning system. The second boiler receives oxygen from the oxygen input unit, fuel from the fuel input unit, and the first flue gas stream from the flue gas separator.
POWER GENERATION PROCESS UTILIZING FUEL, LIQUID AIR AND/OR OXYGEN WITH ZERO CO2 EMISSIONS
A system that integrates a power production system and an energy storage system represented by gas liquefaction systems is provided.
MODULAR PRESSURIZED COAL COMBUSTION (MPCC) FOR FLEXIBLE GENERATION
A modular pressurized combustion system for flexible energy generation is provided. The system comprises a plurality of pressurized combustion boilers, at least one compressor configured to provide pressurized oxidizer gas to each of the plurality of pressurized combustion boilers in parallel, and at least one feeder configured to provide fuel to each of the plurality of pressurized combustion boilers in parallel. The system further comprises a flue gas input unit configured to provide recycled flue gas to each of the plurality of pressurized combustion boilers in series, at least one pressurized heat recovery unit configured to receive a flue gas output stream from each of the plurality of pressurized combustion boilers, and at least one particle filter configured to filter a flue gas output stream from the pressurized heat recovery unit. The system also comprises an integrated pollutant removal unit.
SUPPORTING BEAM ARRANGEMENT FOR SUPPORTING A FLUE GAS DUCT
A supporting beam arrangement (14) for supporting a flue gas duct (10) to a support frame (16) of the flue gas duct.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OXYGEN PRODUCTION AND ENERGY STORAGE
The present invention provides a method and system (1) for producing oxygen. Oxygen-carrier particles are transferred between a reduction process (10) and an oxidation process (15) connected to form a chemical looping process. The reduction process produces oxygen-depleted carrier particles and an exhaust gas mixture. Oxygen is separated from the exhaust gas mixture, preferably by a condenser (5). The oxygen-depleted carrier particles are returned to the oxidation process for regenerating the oxygen-depleted carrier particles with oxygen. The reduction process is performed during a first time period and the oxidation process is performed in a second time period.
Fluidized bed combustion of carbonaceous fuels
Methods and devices for combusting a carbonaceous fuel in an oxy-combustion fluidized bed reactor involving controlling the local oxygen content within the oxy-combustion reactor to specified levels. The carbonaceous fuel and an oxygen-containing gas are introduced into a fluidized bed reactor and eluted through a fluidized bed of an inert material, dolomite or a combination thereof to combust the fuel and oxygen to produce at least CO.sub.2 and steam. The oxygen-containing gas is a mixture of oxygen, recycled CO.sub.2 and steam and has sufficient oxygen added to the recycled CO.sub.2 and steam that the mixture contains 7-20 mole % oxygen. The carbonaceous fuel and the oxygen-containing gas are introduced into the fluidized bed at a location in sufficiently close proximity to each other to avoid producing a reducing atmosphere at the location. At least a portion of the produced CO.sub.2 and steam are recycled to the reactor.
