COOKTOP AND INSULATED BURNER ASSEMBLY
A cooktop appliance may include a top panel and a gas burner. The top panel may define an opening. The gas burner may include a burner body, a fuel tube, an injet bracket, and an insulator pad. The burner body may be positioned on the top panel at the opening. The fuel tube may extend below the burner body in upstream fluid communication therewith. The injet bracket may be mounted below the burner body. The injet bracket may define a fuel orifice disposed upstream from the fuel tube and below the top panel. The insulator pad may be disposed between the burner body and the injet bracket to restrict heat transfer therebetween.
Method and device for heating object to be heated
A method and device heat an object to be heated by a flame which is produced by supplying a fuel fluid and a combustion supporting gas to a burner as a heat, source. A temperature rising rate is increased by gradually increasing an oxygen concentration in the combustion supporting gas supplied to the burner and a device for heating an object to be heated including a burner for heating the object to be heated. A flow rate control unit controls a flow rate of a fuel fluid and a combustion supporting gas. A calculation unit transmits combustion information of the burner to the flow rate control unit, and the flow rate control unit increases a temperature rising rate of the object to be heated by increasing the oxygen concentration in the combustion supporting gas supplied to the burner.
FUEL NOZZLE BODY
A fuel nozzle body having a rearward end and a front end with an outer tube which extends from the rearward end to the front end and has radial openings for a first fuel in the region of the front end, and an inner tube which is arranged concentrically to the outer tube and which opens in the region of the front end into a nozzle head, which has additional openings for a second fuel, wherein, in the region of the front end, the inner tube is guided in the outer tube by two fits which are arranged axially between the radial openings and the additional openings, and wherein the first fit closest to the radial openings is configured as a circumferential web around the inner tube, and wherein the second fit is configured with at least one interruption on the perimeter.
COMPACT BURNER FOR AN ENTRAINED-FLOW GASIFIER HAVING NO LIQUID COOLING
A compact burner for the pressurized gasification of pulverized fuel dust for producing synthesis gas, wherein a plurality of concentric media channels transition into a conical burner tip. The burner tip provides a reduced contact surface on the reaction chamber side. The nozzle components of the burner tip are produced by selective laser melting, which permits a design for cooling by supplied media, such as fuel gas, flushing gas, or oxidation. A sliding guide having an intermediate seal is arranged between the nozzle components of two media channels to equalize temperature-driven linear extensions. The compact burner makes the expense for liquid cooling unnecessary.
Fuel injectors and methods of making fuel injectors
A fuel conduit for a fuel injector includes a coiled tube with a longitudinal segment arranged along a flow axis and a radial segment. The radial segment extends about the flow axis and is in fluid communication with the longitudinal segment. The wall one or more of the longitudinal and radial segments increases at a thickness transition location offset from a minimum radius of curvature location along the fuel conduit to limit stress within the fuel conduit. Fuel injectors and methods of making fuel injectors are also described.
Fuel injectors for turbomachines
A fuel injector for a multipoint injection system can include a body defining an air cavity for allowing air to flow therethrough and an interior cavity. A fuel is tube disposed at least partially within the interior cavity of the body. The fuel tube can include a first end configured to connect to a fuel injector connector of a fuel manifold, and a second end configured to connect to a fuel distributor of the fuel injector, wherein the fuel injector is configured to be disposed at least partially in a combustor dome. The fuel tube is configured to move in an axial direction to allow flexibility between the fuel manifold and the combustor dome.
Nozzle with insulating air gap and seal to close the gap
A nozzle for a fuel injector of a gas turbine engine, the nozzle having an insulating air gap adjacent a conduit for carrying fuel, the air gap formed between a pair of concentrically arranged annular walls, wherein the pair of annular walls are arranged to move independently to accommodate differential thermal expansion, the nozzle further including: a channel extending circumferentially around a surface a first of the pair of annular walls, facing a second of the pair of annular walls; and a sealing member received in the channel, to close the insulating gap.
Flamesheet diffusion cartridge
A diffusion cartridge assembly for a gas turbine engine, and methods of using the same. The diffusion cartridge assembly includes a tip plate with an array of fuel supply openings and a mounting hole radially inward of the array of fuel supply openings, an end cover, and an outer sleeve extending from the tip plate to the end cover and defining an open inner chamber. A fuel supply line is coupled to the end cover and extends within the open inner chamber toward the tip plate. A manifold is coupled to an end of the fuel supply line proximate to the tip plate, and includes an array of fuel injector tips. Each of the fuel injector tips extends through a respective one of the array of fuel supply openings in the tip plate. The manifold also includes a thermally free mounting pin extending into the mounting hole.
Fuel nozzles
A nozzle assembly includes a fuel distributor for issuing a spray of fuel. A fuel conduit is in fluid communication with the fuel distributor and has a first end and a second end. The first end and/or the second end of the fuel conduit is operatively connected to the fuel distributor. The fuel conduit is configured to allow relative movement between the first end and the second end to accommodate dimensional variations of at least one of the nozzle assembly or a combustor. A nozzle system includes the nozzle assembly and a combustor wall having a nozzle inlet. The nozzle assembly is positioned adjacent to the nozzle inlet.
