Point determination and projection device
Disclosed herein is a point determination and projection device configured to automatically detect the location of a point of interest, such as a midpoint or other intermediate point on a surface, and to project light or another image onto such point of interest to indicate its location to a user. In accordance with certain aspects of an embodiment of the invention, the device includes remote distance measurement devices, such as laser distance measurement devices, that measure the distance to, for example, corners of a wall surface, and a digital protractor that measures the angle between the two remote distance measurement devices. Based on those measurements, a processor calculates the location of a predesignated point of interest, such as a midpoint or other intermediate point between the two wall corners, and projects a light or other image toward the location of such midpoint or other intermediate point to indicate such location to a user.

An electric toothbrush includes a gyro sensor inside a main body. The gyro sensor detects an angular velocity of the main body and the main body includes a head portion, a neck portion, and a grip portion in a longitudinal axis direction. An angle formed by a longitudinal axis of the main body in a state that brush bristles of the head portion contact with a brushing site in a dentition with respect to the longitudinal axis of the main body in a state that the brush bristles of the head portion contact with a reference position in the dentition is obtained, based on an output from the gyro sensor. A corresponding point corresponding to the brushing site on an approximate curve that curves corresponding to the dentition is obtained based on the angle, and coordinates of the corresponding point are used as a translational position of the brushing site.

Laser ranging over-height vehicle detector system (LARA-OHVD)
A device for producing a triangular laser sheet. The device has an optical transmitter with a pair of plano-convex cylindrical lenses for circularizing infrared laser light and a plano-concave cylindrical lens for shaping the circularized light to produce a triangular laser sheet. A tilt sensor measures departure of the triangular laser sheet from a horizontal reference. The device projects a triangular sheet of infrared light that is useful for detecting over-height vehicles that are approaching a structure, such as a bridge.
Laser ranging over-height vehicle detector system (LARA-OHVD)
A device for producing a triangular laser sheet. The device has an optical transmitter with a pair of plano-convex cylindrical lenses for circularizing infrared laser light and a plano-concave cylindrical lens for shaping the circularized light to produce a triangular laser sheet. A tilt sensor measures departure of the triangular laser sheet from a horizontal reference. The device projects a triangular sheet of infrared light that is useful for detecting over-height vehicles that are approaching a structure, such as a bridge.
BINOCULAR TELESCOPE
A binocular telescope includes a pair of Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms, a second half pentaprism, a right-angle prism, a main circuit board, and an auxiliary circuit board. The second half pentaprism is connected to a first lateral surface of one of the first half pentaprisms. A second lateral surface of the second half pentaprism substantially faces the other first half pentaprism. The third lateral surface of the right-angle prism is connected to the second lateral surface of the second half pentaprism. A normal of the fourth lateral surface of the right-angle prism is perpendicular to an imaginary plane. The imaginary plane includes a normal of the first lateral surface and a normal of the second lateral surface. The light emitter and the light receiver on the auxiliary circuit board are arranged above the fourth lateral surface of the right-angle prism and electrically connected with the main circuit board respectively.
