The processor detects a state of the settlement apparatus related to execution of settlement processing at the settlement apparatus using a plurality of settlement methods. The processor determines, based on the detected state of the settlement apparatus, whether there is a first settlement method among the plurality of settlement methods which cannot be executed at the settlement processing apparatus. The processor then notifies a customer of settlement method information indicating the first settlement method cannot be executed at the settlement processing or that another settlement method, other than the first settlement method, can be executed at the settlement apparatus instead of the first settlement method.

Signals to cause the printing device to alter a functionality based on the signals indicative of an amount of utilized print consumable and the signals indicative of payment for the amount of utilized print consumable are transmitted by the computing device.

Point-of-sale system and method

A point-of-sale (POS) system and a data analytic platform provides receipt modification. The POS system has a receipt monitor intercepting receipt data from a POS till. The receipt monitor modifies the receipt data to produce modified receipt data and the receipt monitor transmits the modified receipt data to a receipt printer. A data processing server may receive the receipt from the receipt monitor. The server structures the receipt data, extracts one or more attributes, and may provide modified receipt data to the receipt monitor.

Disclosed herein are methods and systems to generate and communicate interactive digital receipts. In one implementation, the method may include receiving an indication of a payment transaction between a merchant and a user. Via a customer identification system, an employment profile of the user; may be determined. The employment profile of the user may be compared with one or more employment vacancies within an employment database, where the employment vacancies relate to employment at one of a location of the merchant and another merchant's location. A particular employment vacancy from among the employment vacancies may be selected. The payment processing system generates one or more interactive receipts including at least a transaction component configured to display details of the payment transaction and an employment application component configured to display the particular employment vacancy.

Disclosed herein are methods and systems to generate and communicate interactive digital receipts. In one implementation, the method may include receiving an indication of a payment transaction between a merchant and a user. Via a customer identification system, an employment profile of the user; may be determined. The employment profile of the user may be compared with one or more employment vacancies within an employment database, where the employment vacancies relate to employment at one of a location of the merchant and another merchant's location. A particular employment vacancy from among the employment vacancies may be selected. A discharge unit in the upper module moves the paper out of the upper module while maintaining a hold on a rear portion of the paper and to draw the paper back into the upper module after an elapse of time. A container includes a support member that rotates into contact with and moves away from a lower part of the upper module. The container configured to receive and store the paper that has been drawn back by the discharge unit. The paper is stored in a region between the support member and the lower part of the upper module.
