System and method for generating an integrated label for container housing multi-script pouches
A system for integrating and labeling a plurality of tablet orders is described. The system comprises a graphical user interface configured to receive one or more inputs for a plurality of tablets associated with a particular patient. A software module is configured to compile the inputs into an integrated order. The system further comprises an integrated label coupled to a package containing a dose comprised of the plurality of tablets input into the graphical user interface. The integrated label indicates information about the first dose and the second dose.
Method and device for the secure protection of an official document and official document thus protected
A method for the secure protection of a portion of the surface of an official document bearing markings, in which: a transparent security layer (17) is selected, the layer including at least one semi-transparent printed image including at least one transparent binder and at least one thermochromic pigment (14, 13, 12, 11); the semi-transparent printed image reveals at least one semi-transparent visible pattern in a first non-activated state at least a first temperature, such that the markings can be seen through the image, the pattern not being visible in a second activated state at least a second temperature different from the first temperature. A device for the secure protection of a portion of the surface of an official document and such an official document are also described.
Chain of custody forms and methods
A chain-of-custody form has integrated removable specimen seals, and the form may be used to identify a test sample collected from a donor and to document the handling of the test sample. The form may be printed upon a single sheet that has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a first section having one or more spaces for recording demographic and testing information, and one or more indicia of the information to be recorded in one or more marked spaces; and a second section having a marked space for the donor to affix a signature and one or more indicia of the purpose of the space. An identifier that is unique to the form is recorded within the first portion and within the second portion. The identifier includes an specimen identification number or some other method of specimen identification such as a bar-code.
Layered structure and films for ID documents having improved properties for laser engraving
The present invention relates to a layer structure having improved properties for laser engraving, to particular embodiments of said layer structures in the form of co-extrusion films, and to security documents, preferably identification documents having said layer structures.
Moire magnification device
A moir magnification device including a transparent substrate carrying: an array of micro-focusing elements, the focusing elements defining a focal plane; a first array of microimage elements in a first colour and a second array of microimage elements in a second colour, the first and second arrays of microimage elements are located in a plane substantially coincident with the focal plane of the focusing elements, the second array of microimage elements being laterally offset from the first. The pitches of the micro-focusing elements, first and second arrays of microimage elements and their relative locations are such that the array of micro-focusing elements cooperates with each of the first and second arrays of microimage elements to generate respective magnified versions of the microimage elements due to the moir effect. An interruption zone is perceived between the magnified versions of the first and second microimage arrays, respectively, and exhibits no magnified versions.
Security label comprising an authenticity and manipulation detector
A security element, in particular for security labels or adhesive strips, includes the following layers: a) a carrier substrate; b) a reflective layer or a layer with a high refractive index; c) a partial separating lacquer layer; and d) an all-over adhesive coating.
Document with hologram, and method of producing same
A description is given of a document with a hologram as a security feature, in particular an identity card (12), consisting of a polycarbonate card body (10), which has a volume hologram label (2, 9) embedded therein. A description is additionally given of a method for producing the document, in which volume hologram labels (2) arranged on a carrier sheet are brought into contact with adhesive regions (4) on a thermoplastic sheet (5.1), the adhesive surfaces are cured and the carrier sheet is then removed. A second plastics sheet (5.2) is then adhesively bonded onto the first plastics sheet (5.1), bearing the hologram labels, using a second adhesive (7) in the region of the hologram labels (2) to form a two-layered sheet composite (6) which, finally, is laminated, together with further thermoplastic sheets, in a card-lamination press, under the action of pressure and temperature, to give a card body (10), individual identity cards (12) being punched out.
Method of forming a photonic crystal material
A method of forming a film of photonic crystal material. A first process is performed upon a material capable of having a photonic crystal structure, this process causing deformation of the material so as to form a film in which incident light received by the material is selectively reflected or transmitted to generate a first optical effect in the film. A second process is performed upon substantially all of the film which applies a shear stress to the film. This causes a change in the material structure so as to generate a second optical effect in the film, different from the first optical effect, in response to incident light. Security films, devices, articles and documents formed using the method are also discussed.
Security document containing an authentication device
A flexible security document is provided which contains an authentication device including: a) source of electrical potential (5), the source including a piezoelectric polymeric material including at least one terpolymer of vinylidene fluoride (VDF), trifluoroethylene (TrFE) and a halogenated ethylene based monomer containing at least one non-fluorine halogen atom, the source of electrical potential being activated by mechanical deformation; b) reporter element (3) including a material capable of switching electrically between a first state and a second state, the difference between the first state and the second state being able to be perceived by an unaided human; and c) conducting elements (8) electrically connecting the source of electrical potential and the reporter element to produce an electric circuit. The reporter element (3) may take a number of different forms, such as a light emitting device which lights up or undergoes color change when activated by the source of electrical potential to provide an indication of authenticity. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the flexible security document is a banknote and the source of electrical potential is applied by printing.
Roll of pre-printed stamp label stock and method of manufacturing a roll of pre-printed stamp label stock
A roll of pre-printed stamp label stock includes a core, and a web of material wound on the core. The web includes (i) a release liner, (ii) a longitudinally-extending series of pre-printed stamp label panels disposed on the release liner and separated apart from each other by transversely-extending gaps between each pair of panels, and (iii) a first series of sense marks disposed on the back of the release liner opposite at least some of the transversely-extending gaps on the front of the release liner for identifying a cut location to a cutter.
