METHOD FOR PRODUCING FULLERENE-DERIVATIVE-CONTAINING RESIN COMPOSITION, FULLERENE-DERIVATIVE-CONTAINING RESIN COMPOSITION OBTAINED FROM SAME, RESIN PAINT, RESIN COATING, AND ENAMEL WIRE

Provided is a method for producing a material that suppresses a decrease in the life of an insulation against surge voltage, that is, a material that provides a long dielectric breakdown lifetime. The method is a method for producing a fullerene-derivative-containing resin composition containing a fullerene derivative and a resin that has an affinity for a polar solvent, including: a step (I) of dispersing a fullerene derivative in a polar solvent; and a step (II) of mixing the polar solvent in which the fullerene derivative is dispersed with a resin that has an affinity for the polar solvent.

The present invention provides alumina hydrate particles, a flame retardant and a resin composition that are each for an electric wire/cable covering material improvable in flame retardancy and mechanical properties while the covering material keeps acid resistance; such an electric wire/cable; and producing methods thereof. The alumina hydrate particles of the present invention for electric wire/cable covering material have an average particle size of 0.5 to 2.5 μm, and having a primary particle variation R of 24% or less, the variation R being represented by the following expression:
primary particle variation R (%)=“standard deviationσ(μm) of major axis diameters of the primary particles”/“average value(μm) of the major axis diameters of the primary particles”×100.

ELECTRIC FIELD GRADING PROTECTION DESIGN SURROUNDING A GALVANIC OR CAPACITIVE ISOLATOR

Micro-isolators exhibiting enhanced isolation breakdown voltage are described. The micro-isolators may include an electrically floating ring surrounding one of the isolator elements of the micro-isolator. The isolator elements may be capacitor plates or coils. The electrically floating ring surrounding one of the isolator elements may reduce the electric field at the outer edge of the isolator element, thereby enhancing the isolation breakdown voltage.
