Bonding resistance and electromagnetic interference management of a surface mounted connector
A first component, such as an electrical connector, can be mechanically connected to a second component, such as a surface, and separately electrically bonded to the second component using a third component, such as foil. The third component can be ultrasonically welded to the first component and separately ultrasonically welded to the second component. In some cases, multiple third components can be utilized to cover a seam between the first and second components.
Dissolvable connector for downhole application
A dissolvable connector allows a wireline or similar conveyance to be detached from a downhole tool or device based on conditions in a downhole environment instead of an external action, such as application of tension or an electrical pulse. The dissolvable connector can be strategically positioned to allow retrieval of expensive tools and equipment that are located above the connector. A protective sheath may be provided around the dissolvable connector that opens or unsheathes based on conditions in the downhole environment (e.g., pressure, temperature), a telemetry signal (e.g., from the surface or from a tool string), or tension, to provide greater control over the timing of the release of the dissolvable connector. Such a dissolvable connector allows the device to be detached from the conveyance without the need for wire-cutting operations or weak-point breaking operations.
Integrated multipole connector
The present disclosure relates to an integrated multipole connector, and more particularly, an integrated multipole connector that can be used as a multipole connector integrating a plurality of connectors to which different current capacities and shielding structures are applied.
Connector paddle card with improved wiring connection geometry
Connector paddle cards are provided with an improved wiring connection geometry that reduces impedance mismatch. One illustrative embodiment is a printed circuit board having, on at least one surface: edge connector traces arranged along a first edge for contacting electrical conductors in a socket connector; an outer set of electrodes arranged parallel to a second edge for attaching exposed ends of sheathed wires in a cable (“outer wires”); and an inner set of electrodes arranged parallel to the second edge for attaching exposed ends of sheathed wires in a cable (“inner wires”), with the electrodes in the inner set being staggered relative to the electrodes in the outer set.
Apparatus and methods for sending or receiving electromagnetic signals
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include a generator that facilitates generation of an electromagnetic wave, a core, and a waveguide that facilitates guiding the electromagnetic wave towards the core to induce a second electromagnetic wave that propagates along the core. The core and/or the waveguide can be configured to reduce radiation loss of the second electromagnetic wave, propagation loss of the second electromagnetic wave, or a combination thereof. Other embodiments are disclosed.

A light with retractable sleeve comprises housing, a retractable sleeve disposed inside the housing, and a light body embedded in a front end of the retractable sleeve and protruding out of the housing; the retractable, sleeve comprising an inner sleeve, an outer sleeve disposed outside the inner sleeve, and a connector; the inner sleeve having a gear rack; the outer sleeve having thereon a button corresponding to the gear rack; the button being attached on the gear rack via a resilient element to prevent the outer sleeve from undesirably moving out of the inner sleeve along the axial direction; the outer sleeve and the inner sleeve can be extended with each other, so that the outer sleeve is extended out of the housing, thereby facilitating the light body installed thereon, the structure is simple and easy to use.

An intelligent network patch field management system is provided that includes active electronic hardware, firmware, mechanical assemblies, cables, and software that guide, monitor, and report on the process of connecting and disconnecting patch cords plugs in an interconnect or cross-connect patching environment. The system is also capable of monitoring patch cord connections to detect insertions or removals of patch cords or plugs. In addition, the system can map embodiments of patch fields.

Cable having built-in web portal hosting capability
A cable system includes a sensor connection segment (SCS), a computer connection segment (CCS), and a radio connection segment (RCS). The SCS includes a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and a sensor connection cable for connecting the PCBA to a host sensor system. The PCBA includes hardware and software for providing an embedded web server as part of the cable system. The PCBA can send sensor data over a radio network or receive firmware and calibration updates using the RCS and the CCS, respectively.
