Steering system having a reluctance brake
A steering system for motor vehicles, including a steering actuator which acts on the steered wheels, is electronically controlled based on a steering request and acts on the steered wheels via a steering gear, and an actuator device which transmits reactions to a steering shaft connected to the steering wheel. The steer-by-wire steering system has a holding brake which can be activated electrically and has two positions; a holding position and an open position. The holding brake is configured to block rotation of the steering shaft in the holding position when a predefined rotational angle of the steering shaft is exceeded, and to release rotation of the steering shaft in the open position.
MAGNET ASSEMBLY FOR AN ELECTROMAGNETIC MOTOR
A magnet assembly for a linear motor, the magnet assembly including one or more permanent magnets, a mounting plate having a mounting portion that is configured for arranging and mounting the one or more permanent magnets along a direction of elongation of the mounting plate, and at least one elongate member that extends at least partially through the mounting plate between a first end and second end thereof, the at least one elongate member extending at least partially through the or each magnet for fixing the or each magnet with respect to the mounting plate.

Laminated rotor having deflecting magnet retaining prongs and support posts for the prongs
A rotor assembly for an electric machine includes a rotor core that is fabricated from a plurality of laminations stacked along a rotational axis of the electric machine. The rotor core has a plurality of arcuately arranged, axially extending magnet-receiving slots. The rotor core includes a plurality of magnets received in respective ones of the magnet-receiving slots. Each of the laminations includes opposed deflectable magnet-retaining prongs that extend into a corresponding one of the magnet-receiving slots. The magnet-retaining prongs are deflected by and engage the magnets to exert a reactive force against the magnets and hold them in place. Each of the laminations also includes respective support posts axially adjacent the magnet-retaining prongs. The support posts extend alongside and thereby limit the deflection of the magnet-retaining prongs when engaged with the corresponding one of the magnets.
Vibration prevention in a linear actuator
An apparatus for vibration reduction in a linear actuator includes one or more sets of counterweights, one or more enclosures configured to receive one set of counterweights for each enclosure, and a driving shaft configured to mount the one or more sets of counterweights. The one or more sets of counterweights are disposed symmetrically with respect to a plane that extends perpendicularly and longitudinally through a longitudinal axis of the linear actuator. The driving shaft extends perpendicularly and transversely through the longitudinal axis and the plane. A portion counterweight of a given set of counterweights may rotate clockwise and another portion counterweight of the given set of counterweights may rotate counterclockwise.
Control device and corresponding production method
A method for producing a control device for mechanically controlling a component. The control device may have a device housing including a motor accommodating space in which an electric motor is arranged. The electric motor may include a motor housing having a stator and a rotor, the rotor including a rotor shaft. The method may include selecting an electric motor from a plurality of electric motors each suitable for a specified application. Each of the plurality of electric motors may have a different respective axial motor length and may have a same respective motor cross section. Further, the method may include adapting the motor accommodating space to the respective axial motor length of the selected electric motor.
