MITIGATION OF CORROSION IN CARBONATED CONCRETE BASED ON LOW-CALCIUM SILICATE CEMENT
Methods for producing compositions that prevent, mitigate or delay the onset of corrosion of iron or steel (e.g., plain carbon steel) components used as reinforcement or otherwise at least partially embedded in carbonated concrete composite materials and objects based on carbonatable calcium silicate cement are disclosed.
POLYMER BLENDS IN THE FORM OF AQUEOUS DISPERSIONS OR POWDERS THAT CAN BE REDISPERSED IN WATER
Highly condensed silicon resins are obtained by a three step continuous procedure without the use of organic solvent, by preliminarily forming a partial alkoxylate by reacting a chlorosilane with alcohol containing no or a minimal amount of water, feeding the partial alkoxylate to a reaction column to form a silicone resin of low degree of condensation, and further condensing the silicone resin intermediate thus formed to produce a silicone resin product.
Cement mortar composition
A cement mortar composition comprising a water-soluble cellulose ether, a starch derivative originating from tapioca, cement, an aggregate, and water has advantages including a less change of flow with time, easy application with a trowel, a short setting time, and a reduction of construction time.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR APPLYING AN INSULATION TO BUILDINGS
A jointless surface covering can be applied to building parts by a method and a device (2). A flow of a surface covering material (37, 92) and of an adhesive (94, 95) is sprayed onto an underlying plane which is situated on the building part. The surface covering material forms an insulation for the building part. Granules (92) are used for the surface covering material. The granules are misted with adhesive (94) and, carried by air, they reach an area to be covered, wherein the granules immediately adhere as a result of the adhesive, which undergoes a chain reaction. By virtue of the device (2), granules are supplied from a granules reservoir (8) and adhesive is supplied from an adhesive reservoir (46) and brought together in an air space via a nozzle assembly (60) in order to form the surface covering. A combing device (16) serves for separating granular particles (92), which pass into a flow channel (28) via a chute (24). In the flow channel, the granular particles are taken up by an air flow (36) from a fan (30) and fed to the air space.
Method for producing an insulating composite building block
A method for producing a composite insulating mineral block, includes providing a mineral masonry block including at least one cell with walls having a water absorption rate of less than 5 g/(m.sup.2.Math.s) at 10 minutes, and filling the cell with a mineral cement foam, wherein a cement used to produce the mineral cement foam has an aluminum oxide content of less than 20% by weight of the cement.
Inorganic binder composition comprising a copolymer
The present invention relates to a composition comprising () at least one inorganic binder and () at least one water-soluble copolymer based on (a) 0.1 to 20 wt % of at least one monomer of the formula (I) and (b) 25 to 99.9 wt % of at least one hydrophilic monomer (b) which is different from monomer (a), where the at least one copolymer has a molar mass average M of 1 500 000 to 30 000 000 g/mol. Furthermore, a process for producing this composition is disclosed. A further aspect of the present invention is the use of the copolymer of component () as rheological additive in a composition of the invention.
Mortar mixture for thermal insulation and/or as fire protection and for universal applications, and methods for the production and use thereof
A mortar mixture for horizontal surfaces or as casting mortar in molds has at least 20% of the mortar mixture by volume being balls composed of expanded silica sand or expanded perlite with the balls being glazed and closed at the surface thereof and filled with air. The expanded perlite balls are mixed with binding agents, additives as binders, an air-void forming agent, chemical admixtures as liquefiers, quick-setting binders, or a combination thereof, and composed of polymers. The method for producing the mortar mixture is performed by sorting perlite sand into various grain sizes by a grading curve. Each individual grain size is then expanded in a trickling channel having multi-stage temperature zones so that the surface of the balls is glazed. The glazed, expanded perlite so produced are mixed together into a homogenous mixture by adding binding agents and cellulose, air-void forming agent, chemical admixtures or a combination thereof.
CONSTRUCTION CHEMICAL FORMULATION
The present invention relates to a quick and low-stress setting chemical formulation for construction, containing at least one binding agent on the basis of calcium sulfate, at least an ettringite-forming agent, at least one activator, at least one filler, at least one redispersable dispersion powder and optionally additives and to the use of the chemical formulation for construction for producing thin-layered balancing masses, self running and solid fillers, screed binding agents or screed mortars, tile adhesive mortars, jointing mortars and sealing sludges.
Redispersible dry composition of polymer finishes or other products for the construction
The invention relates to improved non-efflorescing cement-free and water-dispersible powder building material compositions comprising a homopolymer or copolymer as binder, useful for the preparation of wet formulations of plasters grouts, waterproofing coatings or mortars for the construction and the civil engineering industry. The binder is obtained by spray-drying or lyophilization of a dispersion containing a polymer and a protective colloid. These compositions also comprise a deprotection agent and a specific adsorbent filler. The invention also refers to the methods of preparation of these dry compositions and wet formulations, the application of these latter onto the surface of buildings or civil engineering works, the so obtained coatings as well as the so coated elements. The hardened products obtained therefrom are remarkably water-resistant, non efflorescent and easy to obtain.

The invention relates to a method for producing a grain-orientated electric steel which is coated with a phosphate layer and in which there is applied to the electric steel a phosphate solution which contains a colloid component and at least one colloid stabilizer (A) and/or at least one pickling inhibitor (B), the phosphate solution containing at least one compound which has chromium in the oxidation stage III (chromium (III) compound). Grain-orientated electric steel produced with the method according to the invention is distinguished by excellent optical properties and a high tensile stress.
