ROLLING SLEEVE FOR AN ENDOLUMINAL SHAFT
The present disclosure describes a rolling sleeve having a malleable body. The rolling sleeve is configured to protect an endoluminal shaft from surrounding tissue during insertion, navigation, and/or treatment within a body lumen.
ASSISTANCE TOOL AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An assistance tool that assists in moving a treatment device is provided. The assistance tool includes a flexible tube in which an insertion path is formed to insert the treatment device that is inserted into a channel in an insertion portion of an endoscope, a tube member that is coupled to the flexible tube and has a curved portion halfway of an overall length and in which an insertion path for the treatment device is formed, a coupling portion that is coupled to the tube member and is formed to couple the channel to the insertion path, and a holding portion that is attached to the flexible tube and holds the insertion portion or an operation portion that is coupled to the insertion portion.
INSERTION APPARATUS
An insertion apparatus includes an insertion section, a rotational housing, a motor, and a controller. The motor rotates the rotational housing. The controller designates a rotational direction of the motor. The controller limits the rotational direction of the motor to allow the insertion section to move only in a removal direction when inspection control for inspecting an operation relative to an insertion direction of the insertion section is initiated.
INTERDENTAL ANCHORING APPARATUSES AND METHODS
One or more oral devices having interdental anchors configured to elastically deform and engage with an interdental gap between adjacent teeth. One or more medical devices can then be secured to the oral device via a securing portion, allowing the medical device to be secured relative to the patient.
Covering for a medical scoping device
The present invention relates to a cover having a plurality of moveable, external, angled projecting elements for use with flexible medical scoping devices such as endoscopesor enteroscopes. The invention includes the cover with an over cuff and use of the disposable removable covering in methods of medical scoping procedures or examinations. The invention also includes an applicator for assisting in placing the covering about or over a medical device and a kit of parts.
Girth adjustable device
A girth adjustable device for physical therapy such as the dilation and stretch of body orifices that can repeatedly, gradually increase a uniform and sustainable pressure over the entire lateral surface area and over the entire length of a body orifice at the same time, and gradually decrease the pressure uniformly from the entire lateral surface area and the entire length of a body orifice at the same time. The girth adjustable device comprises at least one controller, a housing, at least one threaded shaft, at least one module, a plurality of shaft member and at least one sheath. The part of the device inserted into a body orifice is the shaft. In a body orifice, the user via the controller rotates clockwise the threaded shaft to increase the girth of the shaft. Then, the user via the controller rotates counter-clockwise the threaded shaft to decrease the girth of the shaft.
Endotracheal tube apparatus
An apparatus for monitoring EMG signals of a patient's laryngeal muscles includes an endotracheal tube having an exterior surface and a first location configured to be positioned at the patient's vocal folds. A first electrode is formed on the exterior surface of the endotracheal tube substantially below the first location to receive EMG signals primarily from below the vocal folds. A second electrode is formed on the exterior surface of the endotracheal tube substantially above the first location to receive EMG signals primarily from above the vocal folds. The first and second electrodes are configured to receive the EMG signals from the laryngeal muscles when the endotracheal tube is placed in a trachea of the patient.
Attachment unit and endoscope
An attachment unit rotates in directions around a longitudinal axis with respect to an insertion main body when rotary drive force is transmitted from a drive force transmission unit provided to an insertion section, and allows propulsive force in one of directions parallel to the longitudinal axis to act on the insertion section by rotating in contact with a paries. The attachment unit includes a fin portion which is spirally extended along the longitudinal axis and whose dimension from the longitudinal axis to an outer peripheral end vary in accordance with how external force different from the propulsive force acts in the directions parallel to the longitudinal axis in a state that the attachment unit does not rotate with respect to the insertion main body.
VISUALIZED ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE PLACEMENT SYSTEMS
Systems, methods, and devices for facilitating insertion of an endotracheal tube and/or for verifying the position of the endotracheal tube within an airway of a patient with respect to an anatomical landmark of a patient are disclosed. Systems, methods, and devices for facilitating removal of debris from the distal airways of a patient under direct visualization are also disclosed.
Apparatus and Processes for Operating on a Narrow Body Lumen
Apparatus and processes for use in a narrow body lumen are provided. Apparatus may include an outer shaft portion; a tube receivable within the outer shaft portion; and an elongate inflatable body having first and second ends, the first end being sealed to the outer shaft portion and the second end being sealed to the tube. In an initial configuration, the elongate inflatable body is received in the outer shaft portion. The tube is slidable relative to the outer shaft portion to evert the elongate inflatable body when the elongate inflatable body moves out of the outer shaft portion.
