Alignment of breath sample data for database comparisons

A method for synchronizing data for gas samples with volatile organic compounds. The data includes chromatographic data indicative of molecule retention times. The method includes identifying or selecting marker molecules and clustering the plurality of gas samples into a plurality of clusters according to a clustering criterion. Next, a first correction of retention time deviations is performed on the data for the gas samples between clusters by using the marker molecules as anchor points to provide a coarse reduction of retention time deviations between the data. Finally, a second correction of retention time deviations is performed on the data, so as to further reduce retention time deviations between the data. The method reduces significant retention time deviations to allow, e.g., breath sample fingerprints obtained by different equipment at different times to be compared in one database for use on a digital platform.

Disclosed herein are techniques related to device performance mode adjustment based on activity detection. In some embodiments, the techniques involve detecting, based on processing sensor data obtained from one or more gesture sensors, an activity in which a user of the one or more gesture sensors is engaged. The techniques further involve generating information corresponding to the detected activity in which the user of the one or more gesture sensors is engaged. The techniques also involve controlling, based on providing the generated information to a device for monitoring a physiological characteristic of the user, adjustment of a performance mode of the device for monitoring the physiological characteristic of the user.

Adaptive Systems for Continuous Glucose Monitoring

In implementations of adaptive systems for continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), a computing device implements an adaptive system to receive glucose data describing user glucose values measured by a sensor of a CGM system, the sensor is inserted at an insertion site. The adaptive system accesses orientation data describing forces measured by an accelerometer of the CGM system, and the adaptive system identifies a location of the insertion site based on the orientation data. Modified glucose data is generated by modifying the user glucose values based on the location of the insertion site. The adaptive system generates an indication of the modified glucose data for display in a user interface of a display device.

Continuous analyte monitor data recording device operable in a blinded mode

A system is provided for monitoring analyte in a host, including a continuous analyte sensor that produces a data stream indicative of a host's analyte concentration and a device that receives and records data from the data stream from the continuous analyte sensor. In one embodiment, the device includes a single point analyte monitor, from which it obtains an analyte value, and is configured to display only single point analyte measurement values, and not any analyte measurement values associated with data received from the continuous analyte sensor. Instead, data received from the continuous analyte sensor is used to provide alarms to the user when the analyte concentration and/or the rate of change of analyte concentration, as measured by the continuous analyte sensor, is above or below a predetermined range. Data received from the continuous analyte sensor may also be used to prompt the diabetic or caregiver to take certain actions, such as to perform another single point blood glucose measurement. In another embodiment, the device provides for toggling between two modes, with one mode that allows for display of glucose concentration values associated with the continuous glucose sensor and a second mode that prevents the display of glucose concentration values associated with the continuous glucose sensor.

A method for identifying a disease affected area. The method includes activating a geolocation device of an electronic communication device, determining a current geolocation from the geolocation device, querying a disease database from the electronic communication device, to identify one or more diseases associated with the current geolocation, and generating a graphical display on a display of the electronic communication device displaying a risk rating associated with each of the one or more identified diseases associated with the current geolocation.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR SENSOR COMMUNICATIONS

Systems, methods, and devices for improved sensor communications in an analyte monitoring system are provided. In some embodiments, a first remote device can be configured establish a first wireless communication link with a sensor control device. The first remote device can then transmit sensor context information to a second remote device and deactivate the first wireless communication link. Subsequently, the second remote device can establish a second wireless communication link with the sensor control device by using the sensor context information.

MULTI-DEVICE INTEGRATION WITH HEARABLE FOR MANAGING HEARING DISORDERS

Hearing management, using a portable device or integrated portable devices, can include generating during a hearing diagnostics phase an audiogram based on responses of a user to signals conveyed to the user. In response to detecting ambient noises during the hearing diagnostics phase, noise cancellation can be performed to cancel the ambient noises in conjunction with conveying the signals to the user. During a hearing enhancement phase, sounds can be captured with the portable device. The captured sounds can be enhanced in real-time during the hearing enhancement phase by amplifying select frequencies of the captured sounds using signal gain. The frequencies can be selected, and the signal gain determined based on the audiogram. The captured sounds, now enhanced, can be conveyed to the user as frequency-enhanced sounds.
