The data processing arrangement (150) then outputs at least one piece of the data on the dynamics through a user interface (152).

Methods and Apparatus for Adjusting Neurostimulation Intensity Using Evoked Responses

A neurostimulation system provides for capture verification and stimulation intensity adjustment to ensure effectiveness of vagus nerve stimulation in modulating one or more target functions in a patient. In various embodiments, stimulation is applied to the vagus nerve, and evoked responses are detected to verify that the stimulation captures the vagus nerve and to adjust one or more stimulation parameters that control the stimulation intensity.

The invention is related to a method of diagnosing degree of neuropathy of a nerve by diffusion tensor mapping, said method comprising the following steps: a) acquiring diffusion tensor imaging, DTI, digital images of the nerve based on magnetic resonance, MR, data of the part of the body comprising said nerve, b) for each voxel in said DTI digital images calculating a diffusion tensor D

[00001] D ? = [ D xx D x y D x z D y x D y y D y z D z x D z y D zz ] .

and finding its eigenvalues L.sub.1>L.sub.2>L.sub.3:

[00002] L ? = [ L 1 0 0 0 L 2 0 0 0 L 3 ] c) selecting a region of interest in at least one of said DTI digital images, said region of interest comprising pixels, d) calculating the threshold value ?.sub.th of a cutoff parameter ?, ranging from 0 to L.sub.1, as the minimal value of ? for which the following cutoff condition

[00003] L 1 ? R D + ?

is false for all pixels within the region of interest,
wherein RD is a radial diffusivity defined as

Electrode Assembly with Thread Electrode
20180353132 · 2018-12-13 · ·

An electrode assembly includes a needle and a conductive thread electrode carried in a slot on the surface of the needle. The needle pushes the thread electrode into the body and leaves it in place when the needle is removed. The needle is secured in a housing in a retracted position and moved to an extended position by a latch. In the extended position, one end of the needle remains in the housing and the other end extends from the housing. The needle is attached to a spring inside the housing and is moved by the latch against the urging of the spring to the extended position and locked in place. A protective cover is applied over the needle while extended and removed to insert the needle into the body of a patient.

USER MIGRAINE ANALYSIS COMPONENT

A user migraine analysis component comprises a memory configured to store computer executable instructions, and a processor for executing the computer executable instructions. The computer executable instructions comprise instructions for receiving at least a visual behavior parameter indicative of the real time visual behavior of the user, and determining the migraine risk of the user based on the analysis of the at least one visual behavior parameter.

Optical systems and methods for intraoperative detection of CSF leaks

A multi-wavelength surgical system is provided using an endoscope sensitive in the short-wave infrared region which allows exploration of different areas of the skull base for CSF leaks. The device includes an LED box with multiple wavelengths including allowing excitation of ICG with 785-808 nm, enhancing the water absorption from 1200-1550 nm and above 1800 nm and incorporating white light to allow for surgical navigation. Because CSF is 99% water having a large absorption in the SWIR band around 1200-1550 nm and above 1800 nm, the system and method should be an effective means of diagnosis without the need for intrathecal fluorescein.
