Degradable downhole tools and components for high salinity applications
Degradable downhole tools, tool components, and balls are formed from a processed polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) compound that is degradable in a high-salinity environment. The PVA compound exhibits strength and elasticity properties that are comparable to existing degradable downhole polymers and further exhibits degradability properties that are superior to existing degradable downhole polymers, particularly in high-salinity fluids. For different components, the PVA compound may include a reinforcing material such as fiberglass. The PVA compound also includes a loading of degradable metal, such as a degradable magnesium alloy, rendering the material degradable at high salinity. Usage of tools, tool components, and balls formed from the disclosed materials eliminates the requirement that such equipment be drilled out after use as the PVA compound quickly degrades in high-salinity downhole fluids.
ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE COMPOSITION
A composition exhibits excellent heat resistance and mounting reliability when bonding a semiconductor power element to a metal lead frame, which is also free of lead and thereby places little burden on the environment. An electrically conductive composition contains at least a sulfide compound represented by R—S—R′ (wherein R is an organic group containing at least carbon; R′ is an organic group that is the same as or different from R; and R and R′ may be bonded to each other to form a so-called cyclic sulfide) and metal particles containing at least Cu, Sn or Ni as its essential component. Further, a conductive paste and a conductive bonding film each are produced using the electrically conductive composition. A dicing die bonding film is obtained by bonding the conductive bonding film with an adhesive tape.
Method for producing binder resin, method for producing resin composition, binder resin, and resin composition
A method for producing a binder resin by a reaction of a cellulose derivative, a polyvinyl acetal, and a bonding agent that has in the molecule at least two functional groups that can react to hydroxyl groups in the polyvinyl acetal and the cellulose derivative. In the production method, the content of the bonding agent is at least double the molar quantity of whichever has the greater number of moles between the polyvinyl acetal and the cellulose derivative. The produced binder resin is favorable in a coating paste such as a conductive paste, and causes an improvement in film quality such as the smoothness and denseness of a coating film formed by the paste.

A composite material comprises a polymer matrix having microstructure filler materials that comprise a plurality of interconnected units wherein the units are formed of connected tubes. The tubes may be formed by photo-initiating the polymerization of a monomer in a pattern of interconnected units to form a polymer microlattice, removing unpolymerized monomer, coating the polymer microlattice with a metal, removing the polymer microlattice to leave a metal microlattice, growing or depositing a material on the metal microlattice such as graphene, hexagonal boron nitride or other ceramic, and subsequently removing the metal microlattice.
Nanocellular and nanocellular particle filled polymer composite coating for erosion protection
An article with an erosion protection layer. The erosion protection layer may include metal, intermetallic compound, ceramic or glass nanocellular foam particles or monolithic sheets. The particles are dispersed in a polymeric matrix and the monolithic sheets are infiltrated with polymeric material. The nanocellular foam ligaments have submicron cross-sectional diameters.
Reworkable ionomers
Some variations provide a reworkable ionomer composition comprising: a polymer containing a plurality of ionic monomers disposed in a chain backbone of the polymer, wherein the ionic monomers have a monomer charge polarity that is either positive or negative; and a plurality of ionic species disposed within the chain backbone of the polymer, wherein the ionic species have opposite charge polarity compared to the monomer charge polarity, wherein the ionic species and the ionic monomers are ionically bonded, and wherein the ionic species are capable of undergoing a reversible oxidation-state transition of at least +1 or −1 when in the presence of a redox reagent. The polymer may be selected from the group consisting of polyurethanes, polyacrylates, polyamides, polyesters, polyureas, polyurethane-ureas, polysiloxanes, polycarbonates, and combinations thereof. Many options for ionic monomers and ionic species are disclosed. These reworkable ionomers are useful for many commercial applications, including coatings and polymer parts.
ADHESIVE SHEET
The adhesive sheet can be easily peeled off by stretching even if the direction of the stretching is the perpendicular direction with respect to an attached surface of an attached object, and is less likely to break even when a substrate of the adhesive sheet is thin, and is excellent in impact resistance, shear adhesive strength, and cleavage adhesive strength. The present invention relates to an adhesive sheet including an adhesive layer and a substrate layer. The adhesive layer contains filler particles and an adhesive resin. The content of the filler particles in the adhesive layer is 10 parts by weight to 90 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the adhesive resin. The volume ratio of the filler particles to the adhesive layer is 4% to 40%. The adhesive sheet has a stress at 25% elongation of 0.15 Mpa to 82 Mpa.
