Aqueous hard surface cleaners based on terpenes and fatty acid derivatives
09758751 · 2017-09-12 · ·

Aqueous hard surface cleaner compositions useful for removing permanent ink are disclosed. The compositions comprise 75 to 99 wt. % of water; 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a monoterpene; 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a C10-C17 fatty acid derivative; and 0.1 to 5 wt. % of one or more surfactants. The fatty acid derivative is selected from N,N-dialkyl amides, N,N-dialkyl esteramines, and N,N-dialkyl amidoamines. Preferably, a base such as sodium carbonate or monoethanolamine is also included. The invention includes concentrates comprising the non-aqueous components recited above, as well as other applications for the cleaners and concentrates such as graffiti removers and permanent ink erasers. The combination of a monoterpene and certain fatty acid derivatives, especially fatty N,N-dialkyl amides, unexpectedly enables even dilute aqueous compositions to rapidly decolorize black permanent marker from hard, non-porous surfaces.

Cleansing composition for pump foamer comprising soap and propylene glycol
09758746 · 2017-09-12 · ·

The present invention provides a cleansing composition for a pump foamer that not only has excellent foam quality and low-temperature stability, but can also be easily rinsed away with a small amount of water. A cleansing composition to be dispensed by a pump foamer of the present invention is characterized by comprising: (a) 2 to 5 mass % of an ionic surfactant; and (b) 20 to 60 mass % of a polyhydric alcohol comprising propylene glycol; wherein at least 90 mass % of the (a) ionic surfactant is accounted for by a higher fatty acid soap having 5 to 25 carbon atoms, and an amount of propylene glycol contained in the (b) polyhydric alcohol is less than 20 mass % with respect to the entire composition.

A novel liquid composition that provides antimicrobial and antiviral disinfection containing a quaternary ammonium salt fabric softener and a quaternary silicon compound which can be applied in a washing machine during the rinse cycle. The mixture is efficacious against most bacteria, virus and micro-organism. The dispensing in the wash cycle and machine drying sets the mixture into the fabric for residual efficacy. The compounds provide for softening and deodorizing of textiles garments. In addition, the compounds provide for sanitizing and extended residual sanitized efficacy for textiles garments. The compounds provide efficacy against many common virus, bacteria, including MRSA.
