Compositions and methods for clearing tissue
A composition and a method for clearing tissue for subsequent three-dimensional analysis. The clearing composition comprises: (1) a homogenizing agent such as N-methylglucamine, urea, or ethylenediamine; (2) a cytoplasmic, water-soluble refractive index adjusting agent such as iohexol, sodium thiosulfate, or polyethylene glycol; and (3) a membrane, lipid-soluble RI adjusting agent such as 2,2′-thiodiethanol (TDE) or propylene glycol. The tissue clearing composition is particularly suitable for use with long-term fixed human tissues.
ROLL OF CLEANING FABRIC AND RELATED APPARATUS AND METHODS
A roll of cleaning fabric is used for cleaning printing cylinders of a printing system. The cleaning fabric (13) is impregnated with a cleaning composition containing an organic solvent and a cellulose solubilizer. The roll may be wound around a core (14) and inserted in a removable sealing bag (15) configured to seal around the roll (12) of cleaning fabric (13) in order to prevent the cleaning composition from evaporating before use.
USE OF DI-IONIC COMPOUNDS AS CORROSION INHIBITORS IN A WATER SYSTEM
Disclosed herein are the methods of using di-cationic or di-anionic compounds, which are derived from primary amine through an aza-Michael addition with an activated olefin, in a corrosion control composition to mitigate corrosion of a surface in a water system. The disclosed methods or compositions are found to be more effective than those methods or compositions including commonly used single quaternary compounds for mitigating corrosion for a metal surface in water systems.
Cleaning agent composition
Provided is a cleaning agent composition for use in an adhesion process for applying an adhesive to a surface of a first member subjected to a dry treatment without a primer, and adhering a second member to the surface of the first member. The cleaning agent comprises a compound (A) having a (meth)acryloyl group and a liquid (B) having a boiling point of not higher than 200° C.
Cleaning liquid, and method of cleaning substrate provided with metal resist
A metal resist cleaning liquid including a solvent, an organic acid, and a compound (B) represented by general formula (b-1) shown below (In the formula, Rb.sup.1 and Rb.sup.2 each independently represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; Rb.sup.3 and Rb.sup.4 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; Yb.sup.1 represents a single bond, —O—, —S— or —N(Rb.sup.5)—; Rb.sup.5 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; Yb.sup.2 represents —O—, —S— or —N(Rb.sup.6)—; Rb.sup.6 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; and n represents an integer of 0 to 3). ##STR00001##
Amide combinations for cleaning and stripping of electronic parts
A solvent consisting essentially of: (A) a first component consisting of N,N-diethylacetamide (DEAC); (B) a second component consisting of 3-methoxy-N, N-dimethyl propionamide (M3DMPA); and (C) an optional third component consisting of one or more glycol ethers or glycol ether acetates; or a solvent consisting essentially of: (1) a first component consisting of one or more acyclic amides of Formula (I): and (2) an optional second component consisting of one or more of DEAC, M3DMPA, N,N-dimethylpropionamide, one or more glycol ethers or glycol ether acetates, and one or more cyclic amides of Formulae (II-IV). ##STR00001##

Alkyl hydroxybutyrate cleaning composition and method of cleaning air intake valve deposits
A cleaning composition is particularly suited for cleaning dirty intake valves. The cleaning composition includes a high solvency surfactant/solvent which has a Kb greater than 100 or polar Hansen solubility parameter greater than 6. The surfactant/solvent is combined with an organic carrier and a surfactant. A wetting agent may also be employed. The cleaning composition is added to the intake air as a mist as the engine is running.
Chemical compositions and method for degassing of processing equipment
A chemical composition for use in degassing of vessels is taught, said chemical composition including 1-10% by weight of an oxyalkylated dodecyl thiol; and 1-20% by weight of an alkyl di-substituted 9-decenamide. A method is further provided for degassing a vessel. The method includes charging said vessel with chemical composition and a carrier medium, wherein said chemical composition comprises 1-10% by weight of an oxyalkylated dodecyl thiol and 1-20% by weight of an alkyl di-substituted 9-decenamide.
Detergents and cleaning agents having improved performance
A method for use of substituted dihydroxyterephthalic acid amides in detergents and cleaning agents, for improving detergent or cleaning performance with respect to bleachable stains.
