AN ADAPTER FOR A FACE MASK, AND AN INSTRUMENT SHIELDING APPARATUS FOR SHIELDING AN INSTRUMENT BEING ENTERED INTO A SUBJECT THROUGH A FACE MASK OR A TROCAR

A face mask (90) comprises an instrument shielding apparatus (91) which comprises an instrument shielding device (92) which is connected to the face mask (90) by an adapter (89). The adapter (89) comprises an instrument accommodating housing (15) through which an instrument bore (25) extends therethrough. The instrument accommodating housing (15) terminates at one end in a first main port (20) engageable with an instrument port (7) of the face mask (90), and in the other end in a second main port (23). The instrument shielding device (92) comprises a shielding sleeve (95) a first end (96) of which is secured by a coupling ring (98) to the second main port (23) of the adapter (89), and a second end (97) of which is secured in a storage chamber (94) of a sleeve storing housing (93) of the instrument shielding device (92). The sleeve storing housing (93) is sealably engageable with a proximal end (58) of an endoscope (10), and the shielding sleeve extends from a collapsed stored state in the storage chamber (94) to the adapter (89) for shielding the endoscope (10).

Drainage catheter system including a hub

A drainage device may include a catheter including a proximal end and a distal end. The drainage device may further include a hub coupled to the proximal end of the catheter. The hub may include a fastener element configured to secure the distal end of the catheter. In some aspects, the fastener element may be a hinged element. In some aspects, the drainage device may further include a puncture element including a tip and an expander portion. In still other aspects, the puncture element may also include an attachment portion.

Multi-diameter cannula

A catheter assembly may include a cannula. The cannula may include a distal tip, an elongated tubular shaft, and an inner lumen formed by the elongated tubular shaft. A first portion of the elongated tubular shaft may have a first outer diameter. The first portion may be proximate the distal tip. A second portion of the elongated tubular shaft may have a second outer diameter. The second outer diameter may be greater than the first outer diameter. The catheter assembly may also include a catheter adapter, which may include a catheter and a catheter hub. The second portion of the elongated tubular shaft may be at least partially disposed in the catheter hub.

SYSTEM FOR LEAD PLACEMENT VIA MARKERS AND MEASUREMENTS

An implant tool system includes an implantable medical lead and a delivery catheter. The implantable medical lead is configured to be delivered through an access point on a body of a patient. The delivery catheter is configured to deliver the implantable medical lead along an implantation path in the body of the patient. A visual marker is positioned on a body of the implantable medical lead. The visual marker is positioned proximal a distal end of the implantable medical lead by a distance indicative of a length of lead to introduce into the body of the patient. The visual marker may be positioned such that introduction of the length of lead into the body of the patient provides lead slack that reduces the likelihood of one or more of dislodgment of the implantable medical lead from the implant point or damage to a tissue of the patient.

TYMPANOSTOMY TUBE AND PLACEMENT DEVICE

A tympanostomy tube placement device has a needle with a tip, and a retainer at the needle tip. The retainer is within and retains by pulling radially inwardly a tympanostomy tube distal flange in a folded configuration extending distally. Movement of the needle tip in the proximal direction causes the adhesive bond to break and the distal flange releases to an unconstrained deployed position. Due to the axial folding of the distal flange its radial dimension does not affect deployment through the membrane.

Flexible cannula insertion device, system and process

An insertion set system includes a base configured to be secured to a patient, and a flexible tubing on the base. The flexible tubing has a distal end portion forming a cannula to be inserted into the patient. An inserter having a needle is received by the base. The needle has a channel in which the distal end portion of the flexible tubing is received. The needle is able to slide relative to the flexible tubing, to selectively withdraw the needle off of the distal end portion of the flexible tubing. The base may include a passage for fluid flow arranged transverse to the axial dimension of the distal end portion of the flexible tubing.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ACCESSING THE INTRADURAL COMPARTMENT AND TREATING INTRACRANIAL HEMATOMA

Devices and methods are described for a minimally invasive procedure offering immediate relief of brain compression and prevention of subdural hematoma re-accumulation. For example, this disclosure describes devices and methods for embolization of bleeding branch vessels of the middle meningeal artery and subdural hematoma drainage in a single endovascular intervention using multimodal catheter-based technology.

Surgical Drain Device and Method of Use

A surgical drain including an introducer having a central axis, a proximal end, and a distal end. The proximal end disposed along the central axis and configured to couple to a drain. The distal end having a blunt distal tip and the introducer at least partially tapering from the proximal end to the distal end, wherein the introducer has a length of 30 cm or greater.

PERCUTANEOUS RENAL ACCESS SYSTEM
20230114161 · 2023-04-13 · ·

A method and system for creating a tract in retrograde fashion for nephrostomy tube creation comprising the steps of providing a puncture wire having a tissue penetrating tip shielded in a sheath, inserting the puncture wire and sheath through a channel in an ureteroscope, advancing the puncture wire from the sheath while visualizing under direct vision a position of the puncture wire, advancing the puncture wire through the flank, and inserting a catheter over the puncture wire. In some methods and systems, two catheters are utilized.

Methods and devices for percutaneous implantation of arterio-venous grafts

Methods, devices, and kits for implanting a vascular graft to perform hemodialysis treatments on patients with renal failure are disclosed. The kits can include access devices comprised of an access catheter having a guidewire lumen and stylet lumen, a guide tube having a curved distal end, a stylet, an actuator handle and a vascular graft. The methods describe techniques for using the described kits and devices for performing vascular procedures, such as percutaneous implantation of the vascular graft.
