ULTRASOUND PROBE WITH AN INTEGRATED NEEDLE ASSEMBLY AND A COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT, A METHOD AND A SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A PATH FOR INSERTING A NEEDLE OF THE ULTRASOUND PROBE
A device and system for and methods of using an ultrasound probe housing containing ultrasound probes configured to produce images inside the body of a patient for procedures requiring needle or probe insertion. The ultrasound probe housing can be configured with a guide channel cut-out or aperture between the ambient side and body side of a patient. A needle guide assembly may be pivotally connect internal to the guide channel cut-out or aperture of the ultrasound probe housing at a pivot point such that during use the needle enters the patient through the needle guide assembly within the ultrasound probe housing so that the needle can be visualized by the ultrasonic probes in real time. The ultrasound probe housing may also provide an adhesion or suction quality to the body side of the device to facilitate aspects of the invention.
Surgical access port
A surgical access port or trocar is provided. The trocar has a trocar seal housing and a trocar cannula with an optical obturator insertable through the trocar seal housing and the trocar cannula. The trocar is configured to access a body cavity, to maintain positive pressure and to prevent loss of surgical insufflation gas used in laparoscopic procedures. The trocar seal housing can be releasably attached to the trocar cannula. The trocar seal housing may also have a shield and/or alignment channel that provide protection or assist in operation of instrument and zero seals housed in the trocar seal housing.
Meniscal repair devices, systems, and methods
Meniscal repair devices, systems, and methods are provided.
Multi-shield spinal access system
An access device for accessing an intervertebral disc having an outer shield comprising an access shield with a larger diameter (˜16-30 mm) that reaches from the skin down to the facet line, with an inner shield having a second smaller diameter (˜5-12 mm) extending past the access shield and reaches down to the disc level. This combines the benefits of the direct visual microsurgical/mini open approaches and the percutaneous, “ultra-MIS” techniques.
ADAPTER ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A REMOVABLE TROCAR ASSEMBLY
An adapter assembly for connecting a surgical loading unit to a handle assembly is provided. The adapter assembly includes a sleeve, a trocar assembly releasably securable within the sleeve, and a locking mechanism configured to releasably secure the trocar assembly within the sleeve.
Single piece, dual component sealing pad and methods
A tissue puncture closure device includes a carrier tube and a sealing plug. The carrier tube includes a distal end configured for insertion into the tissue puncture. The sealing plug is positioned in the carrier tube and arranged for ejection from the distal end of the carrier tube into the tissue puncture. The sealing plug includes a first collagen portion having a first cross-linked chemical structure, and a second collagen portion positioned proximal of the first collagen portion in the carrier tube. The second collagen portion has a second cross-linked chemical structure that is different from the first cross-linked chemical structure.
APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING ACCESS TO A BODY CAVITY OF A PATIENT FOR A MEDICAL PROCEDURE
Method and apparatuses for providing access to a body cavity of a living animal through an access port inserted in an incision made in a wall of the body cavity are disclosed. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a cap configured to attach to the access port, the cap including an opening configured to permit insertion of a medical instrument through the cap and access port into the body cavity, and a tubular sleeve including a distal end sealingly connected at the opening and extending outwardly therefrom, the sleeve including a proximal end configured to receive and provide a seal with the medical instrument when received. The apparatus also includes a closure disposed to temporarily seal the sleeve prior to insertion of the medical instrument through the opening in the cap.
MENISCAL REPAIR DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Meniscal repair devices, systems, and methods are provided.
CANNULA AND NEEDLE ASSEMBLY
A cannula and needle assembly configured to first have the needle assembly create an opening in the skin of a person or animal and to then insert the cannula through the needle into the person or animal by way of the opening created by the needle. The assembly also includes structure to yieldably maintain the needle assembly in a docked position.
Trocar device and use thereof
The invention relates to a trocar sleeve or trocar and a trocar tip for minimally invasive/endoscopic surgical procedures carried out on people or animals. The trocar sleeve here has holding means in order to prevent the device from slipping out during the operation.
