Method and apparatus for intraoperative measurements of anatomical orientation
Electronic devices that detect their position and/or orientation with respect to earth's frame of reference are described. A coupler can removeably maintain the electronic devices in physical proximity of one another. Each electronic device can have a housing and the coupler can be included on the housing and arranged to physically connect the housing of the electronic device to the housing of at least one other electronic device. Alternatively, the coupler can be a packaging that maintains the electronic devices in physical proximity of one another. Each electronic device can be calibrated using the orientation or position information obtained by other electronic devices maintained by the coupler. Further, each electronic device can include a power source that remains inactive until the device is ready for use.
Medical assembly comprising a medical article and a package containing said article
A medical assembly, preferably a sterilized one, includes a medical article (5) and a package containing the article, the package including a hollow support element (2) inside which the article (5) is free, a first protective element (3), called a stopper, which can be coupled to the support element (2) of the article, such that the support element (2) has a grip part (20) that protrudes from the stopper (3), and a second hollow protective element (4), called a cover. The cover can be coupled to the stopper (3) in such a way as to delimit, in cooperation with the stopper (3), a chamber (8) inside which there extends the grip part (20) of the support element, and, in the state when the cover is coupled to the stopper, a part of the stopper (3) protrudes from the cover (4).

Urinary Catheter Kits
Urinary catheter kits can include a working tray, a storage tray, a protective paperboard, and a urinary catheter assembly, including a urinary catheter and a drainage system. The working tray can be nested on top of the storage tray. The working tray can include preformed sections configured to accommodate a plurality of components of the urinary catheter kit.
Container for packaging units
The present disclosure describes a container that includes a body having a lower surface, an upper rim, and a plurality of side walls that extend between the lower surface and the upper rim, wherein the upper rim defines an opening to an interior space of the body, a flexible cover that covers the opening of the body and is bonded to the body along the upper rim, and gas-permeable material through which gas can enter and exit the interior space of the body. The upper rim of the body is spaced apart from any of the gas-permeable material, such that the cover can be peeled away from the upper rim to expose the opening while leaving the gas-permeable material intact.
Sterile packaging of K-wire and cap
A method is provided for sterile packaging of a Kirschner wire (K-wire) and cap for shipping and storage, such that the K-wire and cap may be removed from the sterile packaging and used during a surgery. The method comprises sterile packaging the K-wire into a first container, sterile packaging the cap into a second container, and then bundling the first and second containers into a third container. In some embodiments, the first container may be comprised of a sterile interior environment within a double tube container, and the second container may be comprised of peel pouch configured to be unsealed during the surgery. In some embodiments, the K-wire and the cap may be placed together onto a mounting card that is then sterile packaged into a peel pouch that may be unsealed during the surgery.
